Abstract

Ce module de batterie de piles solaires, résistant au rayonnement, peut être assemblé de manière satisfaisante dans un panneau solaire plus grand afin de produire de l'énergie pour un engin spatial. Il comprend au moins deux piles solaires monocristal pourvues de faces avants et arrières. L'une au moins des piles solaires possède une jonction N peu profonde sur une structure P. Un conducteur est en communication électrique avec ces deux contacts. Une protection sensiblement transparente dopée au cérium recouvre au moins une partie de chaque pile solaire. Cette protection demeure sensiblement transparente lorsqu'elle est soumise aux effets d'un rayonnement spatial AMO. Un adhésif sensiblement transparent se trouve entre la protection et les parties susmentionnées de piles solaires. Cet adhésif demeure sensiblement transparent lorsqu'il est soumis aux effets du rayonnement spatial.
