Abstract

The invention refers to a detachable supporting arrangement, especially made for the forearm of a human operating a computer mouse. The arrangement contains a top and a bottom tongue (5, 6) to be situated above and under a table top, and its total length generally matches the length of a human forearm. The shape of the supporting area (1), seen from above, is as a long wide ellipse. The top and bottom tongues (5, 6) are similarly shaped and gathered to each other via a shim, which also makes an indirect bottom and edge tablestop (3). The shim has a length of 1/3-1/2 of the total length of the mouse arm itself, and the rest of the space between the tongues (5, 6) makes an opening for its mounting and attachement about a table rim.

Description

FLEXIBLE SUPPORTING ARRANGEMENT, ESPECIALLY FOR A HUMAN FOREARM ACTIVATING A COMPUTER MOUSE
The invention concern a flexible arrangement for supporting especially made or designed for the forarm 5 of a human under an activating function of this. As an example, when an operator on or over a plan flat, as an arrangement of tables, shall be able to manoeuvre and hold, and for that matter ideal ergonomical- ly continued shall be able to activated a hand held 10 pointing device as a mouse for personal computers without to much inconveniences .
Hitherto has one by the work of mouse tried to establish different ways or manners for correct
15 support of the arm of the user and the section of the wrist. As one as an example on the flat of the table itself and area of this has laid or placed different kinds of supporting pads. The problem is here that the most ideal relieving
20 position of work is, when the wrist is close or near to the body. Such that one not under function of or with the arm and the hand partly shall hold or guide the arm to specified positions in horizontal level, and a good or quite stretch in front of one self or
25 to the sides in front of one self. This problem had the earlier arrangements not solved optimal.
Hitherto are there also known only to use an extra couple table or desk, which one then use as support 30 for the wrist on the user-arm. And especially when one shall done the computer work via a computer mouse .
The problem is here especially that such an extra table is going to fill very much in area and the 35 room, both in the area of the high and the area of the floor. The purpose with the invention is to get a flexible and easy operated arrangement of supporting, espici- ally for correct ergonomically supporting for the forarm of the user arm in the actual situation of using or working, for especially ideal continually use of the computer mouse . And where the arrangement for that matter easy can be moved as adjusted after different sizes of flats of tables as arrangments.
The new in the invention is that the apparatus or the mouse-arm consist of a top- and buttom tongue, there in size or lenght generally match to the size of the lenght of the forarm of the human. And with a shape or the supporting area seen from upper, which ideal is a long wide shape of ellipse. And where generally the concurrent or similarly top-and buttom tonques are gathered or fixed to each other via a shim, as in the same time make or done an indirect ideal buttom - and edge table stop. And where this further with a fitted lenght, -which is less or smaller than the lenght of the mouse arm, as an example ideal with a lenght from 1/2-1/3 of the total lenght for the mouse arm itself,- made an opening for mounting -as attachment . With the new mouse arm has one obtained that one easy can extended a table flat with an extra area, there ergonomical will be able to be placed ideal tight against the user and out from the area of the flat of the table. The mouse arm will be so flexieble in its moveable that it do not demand any higher trouble, under here specially tools or such devices or like, to be moved or to be demounted. And in the same time will this for that matter also easy further could be fitted in tight or holding around any tickness of a table flat. The mouse arm is not only constructed for to be placed perpendicularly out from a table edge. But it can after need and optimal ergonomical consideration be placed with or in different tapers according to the line of the front-edge on the arrangment of the table, where it will be placed on or to.
The invention shall be explained neare in the following under consideration to the drawing, where
Fig.l shows, seen in perspective, a mouse arm 1 placed around a table edge 2. Where there with dash- and dotted lines are marked, where the table edge 2 is. And in the same time are there shown, how the mous-arm 1 in its stop of buttom 3 is curved. So that the mouse arm 1 will be able to be turned 4. There are also indicated, how the top 5 -as buttom 6 tongues after requirements, and depending on the thigness 2 of the table, can be moved 10 from as against each other as an example with fixed shims 7.
Fig.2 shows, seen from the side, a mouse-arm 1 placed out over an edge 2 of a table, where the loading 8 of the arm is shown, and where the shim 7 also is indicated.
On the figur has for that matter been seen that the mouse-arm 1 also is rounded 9 in its edges, under here in its horizontal outer surfaces, seen in its vertical section. Which moreover also will be valid in the perpendiculary section on this, and the section seen from upper or the buttom, where the silhouette of the mouse arm draw an oblong ellipse 9.
