Abstract

The invention relates to a ferrule for receiving several optical waveguides. Said ferrule has a connector housing (2). The connector housing (2) has at least one coding element (13, 14) on its outside surface in the area of at least one side face (4, 5, 6, 7). This coding element (13, 14) ensures that the connector housing (2) can only be introduced into e.g. a ferrule container in one direction, hereby preventing assembly errors from being made.
