Abstract

This invention refers to a new method of advertising through a scratchable surface stuck or printed on the outer surface of cups, bags or packets of cigarettes made of plastic, paper/carton or both. After scratching the surface an advertisement or the logo of a company will be revealed aimed at the sales promotion of products or services. This new method of advertising involves inventive action and is industrially enforceable.

Description

A NEW METHOD OF ADVERTISING THROUGH A
SCRATCHABLE SURFACE WHICH CAN COVER FOOD
PRODUCTS OR CIGARETTES
This invention refers to a new method of advertising through an easy - to - scratch surface on cups, bags and packets of cigarettes made of plastic or paper/carton or of both.
On the outer surface of cups, bags and packets of cigarettes there is a specially stuck or printed substance which - when scratched by the user - reveals a message, the logo/trademark of a company or advertisements.
Scratchable surface on cups, bags or packets of cigarettes where the user can scratch part of the surface so as a piece of information or an advertising message to reveal, is not known till today.
The easy - to - scratch surface on which the logo or indicative information will be printed, as part of the advertising campaign of a company taking advantage of the scratchable surface of the cups, the bags or the packets of cigarettes as means of sales promotion centered on this surface which will reveal advertising clues, messages or the logo of a company, automatically make it a substantial means of sales promotion, similar to which was not existed until this day.
The scratchable surface is a substance stuck or printed on the outer surface of cups, bags or packets of cigarettes and is defined depending on the size of the advertising message or the logo of a company, which is desirable.
The stuck or printed substance on the surface can be at whichever part of the cups, bags or packets of cigarettes for example at the bottom of them, on the outer sides even on the lid covering the content of mugs, bags or packets of cigarettes.
The revelation of the message after the scratching of the user can be the logo of the advertised company or whichever drawing of its product as well as any shape or number which is part of its advertising campaign aimed at the sales promotion taking advantage of the revealed messages after scratching. Based on that, the user can win prizes or take part in competitions or even pictures can appear which will create a nice atmosphere without excluding the revelation of a game which could refer to other scratchable parts.
All the above messages which are revealed after scratching the surface will be a method of advertising and sales promotion of product or services and will not try to profit in any way.
The suck of printed substance which creates the scratchable surface can have various color or even shapes for the visual stimulation of the users.
The scratchable surface is characterized as environmentally - friendly and user - friendly. More analytically this surface can be on:
a) Any cup made of plastic or paper/carton or both the use of which is possible for any liquids or solid food (e.g. cold or hot drinks, ice creams etc) b) Any paper or plastic bag used for carrying products. c) Any packet of cigarettes

Claims

1) A method of advertising through scratching a surface stuck or printed on another surface covering food products or cigarettes, which is made of plastic or carton or of both, aiming at the sales promotion of the product covered by the surface or at other products and services as well as the promotion of the advertising message revealed after the scratching of the particular surface, which can be the logo of the advertised company.
2) A method of advertising according to claim 1) where there is an easy - to - scratch surface printed or stuck on the outer surface of a cup, which is made of plastic or paper/carton.
3) A method of advertising according to claim 1) where there is a scratchable surface stuck or printed on the outer surface of a plastic or a paper bag used for carrying products. 4) A method of advertising according to claim 1) where there is a scratchable surface stuck or printed on the outer surface of packets of cigarettes which are made of paper/carton or plastic.
