Abstract

L'invention concerne un laser (40) multimode à fibre permettant de générer une onde laser présentant des modes multiples intervenant de part et d'autre de la longueur d'onde laser désirée. Ce laser comprend une source (44) de pompage permettant de générer une onde de pompage par laser, et une fibre (42) optique installée dans une cavité résonnante de laser. La cavité elle-même est délimitée par un miroir (11) d'entrée et un miroir (12) de sortie qui peuvent constituer les surfaces (46 et 48) terminales de la section (42) fibre optique. La section fibre optique peut être une fibre optique de verre au phosphate co-dopé à l'erbium et à l'ytterbium.
