Abstract

Cette invention concerne une unité de commande et de stockage qui va déterminer une valeur monétaire, telle que la quantité de monnaie due à un client. L'unité de commande et de stockage va également sélectionner une liste de billets qui comprend un ensemble de numéros de billets. L'unité de commande et de stockage va ensuite acheter au moins un billet de loterie en fonction de la valeur monétaire et de l'ensemble de numéros de billets. Cette même unité de commande et de stockage envoie ensuite des informations à un terminal de point de vente, lequel va imprimer un billet de loterie fractionnel qui peut être converti en espèces pour une partie du prix gagné avec ce billet de loterie. Le billet de loterie fractionnel comporte les numéros du billet ainsi qu'une valeur du billet de loterie fractionnel qui est fonction de la valeur monétaire. La valeur du billet de loterie fractionnel peut par exemple être égale à la valeur monétaire, ou peut encore être ladite valeur monétaire arrondie à la valeur de la pièce de monnaie la plus proche. Après la date de tirage du billet de loterie, le client se rend à un terminal de point de vente afin d'y convertir en espèces son billet de loterie fractionnel dans le cas où il a gagné un prix. Le terminal de point de vente va communiquer à l'unité de commande et de stockage les numéros du billet ainsi que la valeur du billet de loterie fractionnel. En fonction des informations reçues, l'unité de commande et de stockage va déterminer la valeur du prix du billet de loterie correspondant. Le client va à son tour recevoir une partie de la valeur du prix en fonction de la valeur du billet de loterie fractionnel.
