Abstract

The invention relates to a method for regulating alternating voltage using a transformer with coil taps on the primary and secondary side, and a driving circuit. The invention also relates to a system for carrying out said method. The aim of the invention is to develop a method of this type and a system for carrying out said method which ensure that any input signal, especially a direct voltage signal, is reliably and with low loss transformed into an alternating voltage signal of any configuration. To this end, an input voltage (UE) applied in the form of any kind of signal is transformed into an alternating voltage output variable the parameters of which can be selected freely. This is done by logically interconnecting the coil taps (5.1 to 5.12) of the transformer (4) on the primary and/or secondary side, to which taps the input voltage (UE) is applied, in a time-controlled manner in such a way as to bring about winding conditions which correspond to the desired output signal.
