Abstract

A tubular core (1) for supporting webs made of paper or roll-up film material, said core (1) consisting of paper, light cardboard or water-soluble products, to which a bacteria-based 'septic activator' is associated, said bacteria being even lyophilised, which suspend their life-cycle when all the decomposable products have been exhausted.

Description

A TUBULAR CORE FOR SUPPORTING WEBS MADE OF PAPER OR ROL -UP FILM MATERIAL
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention concerns a tubular core for supporting of webs made of paper or roll-up film material, as for instance "tissue" paper or metallic films, or polymeric materials for household use, professional use or industrial use.
Said invention fits the special technical sector concerning procedures, means and substances for activating the septic system of a dumping tubing for liquids and/or organic and inorganic substances, with the purpose of fluidifying the accumulations of solid materials which have been discharged into pipes and septic tanks, for make their removal easier.
BACKGROUND ART
It is known that the support cores for toilet paper or for food-wrapping paper webs are usually thrown into dustbins; if they are collected ' for recycling purposes, care must be taken to their composition, since some kind of glue is usually used in order to keep the cardboard layers joined together.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The characteristic feature of the invention is to propose a tubular core for supporting paper webs,
C0NF I R AT ION COPY particularly those supporting toilet paper or paper for food-wrapping use, or any other web stuff for domestic purposes, which is fit to be thrown into the pipes for liquid and/or organic stuff, in order to activate the septic system of said pipes for fluidifying the accumulations of solid stuff thrown into the pipes and into the septic tanks, thus making their removal easy.
One more characteristic feature of the present invention is to propose a core which, in addition, doesn't modify the physical and chemical properties of the paper web, and which is not dangerous for the users health.
All the aforesaid characteristic features are achieved, according to the claims contents, by a core for supporting webs of paper or roll-up film material, said core consisting of paper, or light cardboard or other water soluble products, a "septic activator" being associated to said core, said septic activator being based on bacteria or on enzymes, which cease their life cycle when the products to be decomposed have been exhausted.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The characteristic features of the inventions are set out in the following, with particular reference to the enclosed drawing sheet, wherein the only drawing schematically shows, in a perspective view, a tubular core of a paper web.
BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Said core, which is indicated with the numeral 1, consists of, for instance two or more strips of light cardboard, spirally wrapped and overlapped in order to define a tubular core.
Said core can be moreover obtained with any other way, for instance by folding one or more rectangular layers until they are joined together at their longitudinal edges, or according to other techniques which are known to a technical expert .
According to a first embodiment, the cardboard is soaked with a liquid, or liquid solution, which contains a "septic activator" made with bacteria, even lyophilised bacteria, which are able to suspend their life cycle when the products being decomposed have been exhausted.
According to another embodiment, said > septic activator^ is made with enzymes, of known type, which also suspend their active cycle when the products being decomposed have been exhausted.
According to another embodiment , said "septic activator", which is a liquid, a powder or a pulp, can be mixed with the glue used for joining said strips . According to another embodiment the "septic activator" , when the core is made of two or more layers, can be spread between the same layers, under the form of a powder, a liquid or a pulp.
In a further embodiment the "septic activator" is mixed the mixture from which a suitable apparatus produces paper or light cardboard which is used to manufacture said core; in other words, the "septic activator" is inserted into the paper or light paperboard .
According to another embodiment, the core 1 is moreover soaked with at least one sweet-smelling substance, fit to hide all the bad smells which are always present in the toilet pipes and in the septic tanks. This sweet-smelling substance can be also associated to the core 1 in any other known way.
The core, other than of paper or light cardboard, can be also made of water soluble products of known type.
Said core, made of paper, light cardboard or other water soluble products, can be made so that in can be immediately disgregated when in contact with liquid substances, and which can be easily crumbled.
It is obvious that the scope of the invention also includes all the combinations of the previously described embodiments. The core 1 has preferential cutting lines 3, which are oriented in any direction, for instance longitudinally (as explained in the drawing) , transversally, inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis, set according to circumferences; they can be even applied to said core all kind of known techniques allowing the core, as for the pre- cutting lines, to be easily crumbled.
At the end of its main use, the core 1, that is the tubular core which supports a paper web (not illustrated) , is crumbled, before it is put into the toilet .
After crumbling, the core small pieces are carried, together with a mixture or water, organic and inorganic liquids and/or substances, along the draining pipes .
The "septic activator" is then progressively released in the areas where the small pieces pass along, that is the draining pipes; in that way the septic environment is activated, making said areas much more "smooth-flowing" , thus giving a great economical and practical advantage (i.e., smaller tubing sections, less maintenance and so on) .
All the subsequent passages of new mixtures along the pipes collect further organic substances to be decomposed; said operation is positively affected by the continuous activation of the septic system, which is enhanced every time that a core, once it has been used as a web support, is crumbled and put into the pipes .
It is to be noted that the "septic activator" is gradually released by its support (the small piece of core) , and that is good as far it concerns keeping clean and "smooth-flowing" the pipes.
In fact the "smooth-flowing" of the draining pipes for liquids and or organic substances can be kept by simply putting into them some small pieces of cores according to the present invention.
The "septic activator" which has been used can be chosen between those commercially available, which are no toxic or in any way dangerous for people, and at the same time which do not eats into the tubing forming materials, for instance porcelain, metal, natural or synthetic resins, synthetic or natural gum, and so forth. It is to be highlighted that the "septic activator" which has been used is bacteria based, even lyophilised bacteria, which suspend their life cycle when the products to be decomposed are exhausted.
The above description has been made as a non limiting example, and all the possible technical and functional variations of the above solution are intended to be included in the protective field of the invention as claimed in the following.

Claims

1) A core for supporting webs of paper or roll -up film material, said core (1) consisting of paper, or light cardboard or other water soluble products, characterised in that a "septic activator" is associated to said core (1) , said § septic activator^ being based on bacteria which suspend their life cycle when the products being decomposed have been exhausted.

3) A core according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that said "septic activator" is applied in the form of a liquid for soaking said paper, or light cardboard or other water soluble products.
4) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, wherein said core (1) consists of at least two layers of paper, light cardboard or other water soluble products, characterised in that said "septic activator" is applied between said layer in the form of a powder, a liquid or a pulp.
5) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, wherein said core (1) is defined by the inner layers of a paper web called "tissue", glued at their first coil winding turns, characterised in that said "septic activator" is applied between said layers in the form or a powder, a liquid or a pulp.
6) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, wherein said core (1) consists of strips joined together by means of glue, characterised in that said "septic activator" is mixed to said glue in the form of a powder, a liquid or a pulp.
7) A core according to any one of the previous claims, characterised in that the paper or light cardboard or water soluble products defining the core have pre-cutting lines (3), oriented in any direction, fit to allow the crumbling of said core .
8) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, characterised in that it consists of paper, light cardboard or water soluble products, so that it can be immediately broken up when in contact with liquids, and which is easily cru bable .
9) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, characterised in that said "septic activator" is inserted into the mixture from which the same core is obtained, said mixture being of paper, light cardboard or water soluble products.
10) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, characterised in that said core (1) is moreover soaked with at least one sweet-smelling substance .
11) A core according to claim 1 or to claim 2, characterised in that at least one sweet-smelling substance is moreover associated to said core (1) .
