  • the pivotal fold wall pivots on a tensionless pivot member 128 which allows the pivotal fold wall to pivot freely within the second folding station.
  • the pivotal fold wall is m a substantially vertical home position as the partially folded carrier enters the second fold station. As the first fold line contacts the surface of the pivotal folding wall the pivotal folding wall rotates slightly counter clockwise R to a release position until the first fold line enters the V-shaped pocket.
  • the first fold line disengages from the V-shaped pocket 124 and contacts the face 128 of a substantially diagonal blocking member 126 which prevents the folded leading and middle sections from contacting the first set of pinch rollers 112A and 112B.
  • the substantially horizontal blocking plate 115 guides the second fold line 80B and lagging end end section 86 into the second set of pinch rollers 114A and 114B.

Abstract

Cette invention concerne un système d'insertion (38) de cartes permettant de produire automatiquement des emballages de cartes (32) qui sont attachées à des formes (30) de support de cartes pliées. Ces formes possèdent un recto (81), un verso (83), un bord avant (85), un bord arrière (87), ainsi que deux lignes de pli intermédiaires avant et arrière (80A, 80B) qui divisent la forme de support en une section d'extrémité avant (82), en une section centrale (84) et en une section d'extrémité arrière (86). Cette invention se caractérise par un appareil de pliage (64) de formes de support qui possède une première station de pliage (98) comportant une paroi de pliage (90). Cette paroi va entrer en contact avec le bord avant (85) de manière à ce que la section d'extrémité avant (82) se plie le long de la ligne de pli avant (80A) et vienne recouvrir le recto (81) de la section centrale (84). Ce pliage se fait lorsque la forme (30) traverse la première station de pliage (98) de manière à obtenir une forme de support (30) partiellement pliée. Une seconde station de pliage (116) comprend une paroi de pliage (12) qui va entrer en contact avec le bord plié (80A) de la forme partiellement pliée (30) au niveau de la ligne de pli avant (80A).
