Abstract

The above indicated model refers to an unprecedented and versatile chair for medical works, specially gynecologic examination, aiming at a better attendance, the obtention of better results, the patient's comfort, and total quality for the gynecologists, through a chair provided with a three-parted seat, with a 90° degree movement, articulated lateral arms, so they can be disposed in parallel to the back of the chair. On the three-parted seat, its opposite parts are provided with an anatomic convergent cutout for rest and the correct positioning of the patient's legs.

13 legs. The chair which is initially in a vertical position, leans back making a 90°

14 degree movement, until the back of the chair stays horizontal, and the seat, is vertical.

16 Nowadays there is a universal tendency for quality in all areas, and the

17 medical field in no exception to this rule, for excellence in quality must is associate an adequate and correct evaluation to better care for the patient, not

19 only during the treatment, but as of its initial attendance. A patient who is

20 comfortable and relaxed allows the physician to work better, and consequently 2i the results will be beneficial to all the involved parties. There are several

22 models of gynecologic tables for gynecologic examinations, but none with the

23 design and concept of the presented chair, as well as no other that can make

24 examinations more convenient for the doctor and the patient. If you take into

25 consideration how uncomfortable gynecologic tables usually are, specially for

26 old women with locomotion difficulty, who, needing to be examined, are badly

27 positioned, suffer pains resulting from muscles contraction, thus interfering

28 with the correct medical diagnosis.

29 Thinking about the solution of these problems was the reason why the

30 inventor developed this project, which joins comfort and easiness in an object

31 essential to the medical field.

40 According to the illustrations and its details, the "DEVICE APPLIED 4i TO A CHAIR FOR MEDICAL WORKS", has the characteristic of being 42 built as a chair for medical work (1), specially for patient's gynecologic examinations, end it has a three-parted seat (2) where the central part (3) is withdraw to a proper compartment placed inside the back seat (4), having articulated lateral arms (5), with a 90° degree movement, so that they can be disposed in parallel to the inclined back of the chair (8), having on the three- parted seat (2) opposite parts(6) that slide laterally, with an anatomic convergent cut-out (7) for rest and the correct positioning of the patient's legs. The back of the seat reclines, the patient's torso lays down and her legs are fitted over the anatomic convergent cut out (7), which can be moved laterally, leaving the central part (3) free to be withdraw. This gives the patient a better position, and the physician has more room for an adequate job. Obviously many other models may be conceived using different forms, sizes, colors and materials, but always preserving the core of the present developed idea, which is the object of this request. For the advantages it offers, and for having truly innovating features, the "DEVICE APPLIED TO A CHAIR FOR MEDICAL WORK" reunites the necessary conditions to be entitled to the Privilege of Utility Model.

CLAIMS 1 - "DEVICE APLLIED TO A CHAIR FOR MEDICAL WORK", has the characteristic of being built as a chair for medical use (1), specially for patient's gynecologic examinations, and it has a three-parted seat (2) where the central part (3) is withdrawn to a proper compartment placed inside the back seat (4), having articulated lateral arms (5), with a 90° degree movement, so that they can be disposed in parallel to the inclined back of the chair (8), having on the three-parted seat (2) opposite parts (6) that slide laterally, with an anatomic convergent cut-out (7) for rest and the correct positioning of the patient's legs
