Abstract

The invention relates to a sensor device for inductive displacement measurement of electric switching contacts in electromagnetic switchgear, with a power source (12) for producing an alternating current, at least one exciting coil (2) polarized by the alternating current, and at least one measuring coil (4) inductively coupled with the exciting coil (2), and a mobile core (8) which penetrates both coils (2, 4), at least in part, for detecting an electric signal that is produced in accordance with the distance covered by the switching contacts. The sensor device has a compensating coil (6) with a core (10) which moves in accordance with the displacement of the switching contacts and penetrates the compensation coil (6) at least in part.
