  • the HLR determines a charge rate for the call and converts the available balance in the subscriber's account to a time limit for the call.
  • the charge rate may be determined from the time of day, the day of the week, the origin and the destination for the call, and applicable charge rate tables.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé dans un système de radiocommunication permettant de limiter les taxes d'un compte d'abonné à un solde disponible. Le procédé consiste à enregistrer le solde disponible dans l'enregistreur de localisation nominal (ELN) (14, 33) de l'abonné et à enregistrer, dans un profil abonné de l'ELN de l'abonné, une instruction demandant la surveillance des taxes dépensées par la station mobile de l'abonné, cette instruction contenant le solde disponible du compte de l'abonné. L'ELN détermine le taux de taxation de n'importe quel appel de ou vers la station mobile de l'abonné, et convertit pour l'appel en question le solde disponible en une limite temps en divisant le solde disponible par le taux de taxation. Si l'abonné effectue un appel de départ, l'ELN (33) demande à un centre de commutation mobile de départ (O-MSC) (31), dans un message résultant du retour de demande d'émission (34), de mesurer la durée de l'appel. Si un appel d'arrivée est reçu pour l'abonné, l'ELN (14) demande à un MSC-passerelle (G-MSC) (12), dans un message résultant du retour de demande de localisation (18), de mesurer la durée de l'appel. Le MSC (passerelle ou départ) mesure alors la durée de l'appel. Si l'appel dépasse la limite de temps, le MSC envoie à l'ELN un message de demande de notification (21) indiquant que le délai imparti est expiré et l'ELN envoie au MSC un message résultant du retour de notification (22) lui demandant de déconnecter l'appel.
