Description

Action and safety three-parts harness, a method of its finishing and of its use for training, for waiting ready and under action.
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to safety and rescue systems based on combination of plurality of separate units, where connecting points for joining climbing rope are provided.
Brief description of the prior art
Various systems based on harnesses, connected on a human body and used for hanging a person on the rope or ropes, are known. Those ropes are used for hanging, lowering and climbing, or for preventing a falling under climbing, working in high places, or under similar sport activities. Usually, those harnesses are based on a waist belt, to which some or all other parts of complete harness could be connected, especially a hip-part created by leg-belts and a chest part called chest-belt are used for this purpose. Those parts are connected together by swivel loops and/or connector hooks, preferably in the middle of a front and/or rear part. The harness is provided with other loops and hooks for fastening the rope, a damping member, etc. The harnesses described are, more or less, well working and carefull manufacturing, using of quality material and proper dimensions are supposed. It is necessary to notice that basic shape, dimension and material data are mostly a subject of regulations in most of countries and the tests are prescribed.
When using existing harnesses there appears troubles when a person wearing the harness needs to be equiped with tools, measuring devices or arms and the number of them is rather higher. Often a rapid access to said devices is needed, especially in case of arms. When said equipment is attached directly on the harness, means on the belts or straps, small surface of those items is limiting, and a free possibility of orientation of tools or arms is limited, too. When the equipment is attached on clothes, most frequently on a jacket with cases, pockets, etc., so there is possible to wear a harness under this jacket, but it brings troubles in accessability of harness accessories, and it is necessary to say that some parts on a harness must be accessible all the time for safety purpose. So a harness is possible to wear over said jacket with equipment. There comes another disadvantage. First, a range o possibilities to place an equipment in an ergo- nomic way on the surface of a jacket is limited, and, second, when some equipment unit comes under a strap or belt of a harness it can cause serious injuries in case of emergency. It is rather safe to attache tools and other equipment to a waist-belt, but some sorts of tools are better accessible on other places, than on the waist-belt.
Summary of the invention
Said disadvantages are strongly reduced in three-parts harness according to present invention, including a method of its finishing and of its use in practice, where an improvement is characterized in, that a harness, consisting of chest-belt, waist- belt and leg-belt has a chest-belt integrated with an equipment carrier. It is advantageous, when a harness is equiped with cases, with basement and a flap on the back side of those cases, where a basement is at least by 5 mm broader than the edge of case is, and a basement is equiped with a hook part of a hook and loop fastener, while anopposite part of a flap is equiped with a loop part of said fastener, and the other surface of a flap is created from strong fabric with suction ability and/or good air permeability. It is advantageous to equipe a harness with front and/or rear fastening points, created in shape and strengh as an anchoring device, and situated in the area of connecting means between a chest-belt and a waist-belt. Another advantage appears, when a waist-belt consists of bandage, load-bearing strap and a carrier for cases, where a carrier is at least on one its side fastened to load-bearing strap in a releasable way, and consequently a load a load-bearing strap is fastened to bandage, in longitudi- nal direction, in a slackened way. Further it can be advantageous to equipe the load-bearing strap and/or carrier of cases, at least on a part of its surface, with at least a hook part of a hook and loop fastener. It can be advantageous, too, when a carrier part of a chest-belt consists of four units, means one rear unit, two front units, one rear cross-unit. Thus a harness is created, which fullfills all the needs of safety and ergonomics, and above it this harness fascilitates a finishing, where placing of cases over a harness into ergonomic positions is possible i such a way, that first, cases are fastened to a flap by hook and loop fastener in such a way that some parts of a harness is locked between a basement of case and a flap, or flap is a part of harness, especially a part of chest-belt with an equipment carrier, then, second, a position of cases is proved, changed and adjusted by moving the case with its basement, in relation to a flap when this flap is a part of harness, until a position of cases appears good from ergonomic point of view for a concrete person, and, finally, the cases are either fixed on the harness by provisional glue, or by finite glue, , and/or the edge of a basement is sewes to a flap. It is advantageous, too, when a parachute is folded in a case and it is fastened to a front fastening point of the harness. Such created and finished harness is possible to use in practice preferably in following ways. When waiting ready before some action, a person wears first a waist-belt only, with case, and then, just before said action, a harness is funfilled by chest-belt with an equipment carrier and by leg-belts, which were just earlier equiped by cases, too. In another way of use a waist- belt is fullfilled by leg-belts and then a lowering of a person hanging on the rope is trained. Or a waist-belt is fullfilled by chest-belt with an equipment carrier and then there comes a training, action or struggle on the earth. Or a waist-belt is full- filled by both chest-belt and leg-belts, and then there comes a training, action or struggle in the air. Or a person takes a complete three-parts harness, fixes herself using a rear fastening point, and then an action passes on the vertical wall, in position face down, with body nearly in horizontal position. Another method of use of a harness is characterized in, that a person takes a complete three-parts harness, fixes herself using a rear fastening point, and then an action begins on a vertical wall in position face down, and then a free part of a rope comming from said rear fastening point, fixes to a front fastening point and afterwards a rear fastening loop of rear fastening point is cut away, so that a person turns into new mode of hanging, connected to a rope in front fastening point only. Finally, another way of use this harness is possible, where a person takes a complete three-parts harness, including a parachute, and then, whenever during an action, on the rope or without the rope, jumps down and opens said parachute.
So, in general, the harness according to this invention offers a broad variety of combinations od its parts, a possibility to adjust a final configuration of cases in an individual way, and a number of methods for use in practice.
Description of the drawings
The invention is in further described in connection with following examples and accompanying drawings, where Fig.l shows a perspective view at three-parts harness, Fig.2 shows in perspective view a scheme of chest-belt with equipment carrier, Fig. 3 shows in perspective view a scheme of harness equiped with a parachute. Fig. shows in a ground plan a scheme of a waist- belt, Fig.5 shows in perspective view a scheme with a person lowering itself in position face down, before changing a rope anchoring from a rear point to front point. Finally, Fig.6 shows, in perspective view, a scheme of a sole case, with attaching means.
Description of the preferred embodiment
The whole harness consists of chest-belt 1^ with an equipment carrier, which creates, after fixing the parts of a carrier to each other and to the cases 2^, one unit, further it cosists of the waist-belt 1_ and of leg-belts JL . Cases for being connected to a harness are created on the basement 3^, which is here broader then the edges of a case 2 by 7 mm. An opposite-standing part to a case 2 and a basement 3_ is a flap ±r which is attached to a ba¬ sement 3_ by a hook and loop fastener. This type of attaching can create a tunnel for through-going of some strap of harness. A ro¬ le of said flap ± can be played by some part of a harness, being equiped with a loop part of a hook and loop fastener. In this example of embodiment all units 13., _14, r7 can play the role of equipment carrier, excepting a rear cross-unit 1_7. The inner surface of flaps is manufactured here from cotton fabric with a good moisture suction ability, and the inner surface of other parts of equipment carrier is overcoated with perforated lining. On the figures there is shown an assembled chest-belt 1 with an equipment carrier, where the straps are going from a rear cross- unit 17 through rear unit 1^ and through two front units 14 to a front fastening point . Rear fastening point JS is connected firmly to a rear cross-unit 1/7. A waist-belt 1_ consists of a bandage *3, to which it is sewed in slackened shape a load-bear¬ ing strap 9_, which is further going through a loop adjacent to the other end of this strap , and then the strap 9_ goes back and attaches to a clasp. Hook and loop fastener created on the sur¬ face of the load-bearing strap both helps to attache the cases to this strap, and helps bear all the waist-belt 7 on the per¬ son, when putting it on. A part of load-bearing strap_9, hich is not sewed to a bandage .3, creates a bearing member lfj for cases 2. For this purpose a bearing member 10 has a loop part 11 of the hook and loop fastener, with which member a hook part 12 of the same fastener system can cooperate, when said part 12 is created on a basemennt 3 of a case 2^. in this embodiment one of the cases 2_ with a parachute 1^ connected to a front fastening point 5_ (not shown), is attached to a harness.
The way of use, just described, brings a possibility to use a harness complete or in parts, for a purpose of waiting ready, for being then rapidly full-equiped for full action, or training, sport, struggle on the earth and in the air is possible.
