Abstract

In addition to layer 1, layer 2 and layer-3-messages (PSTN, ISDN, L3M) conducting the physical layer, the data link layer and the network layer for the communication terminals (KE) with line conducted connection, the invention provides an additional layer-2 message (mm) for the cordless-connected communication terminals (KE), in which mobility management information items (mmi) are transferred as layer-3-messages.
