Abstract

The invention relates to a method for applying colours by subdividing them according to their percentages allocated to each of the printing points which are for example divided centesimally in accordance with a rule which defines the distribution of appropriately superimposed basic colours, thereby creating binaries and blacks according to the subtraction of the percentage of the basic colour most used percentually from the sum of basic colours less used percentually. Thus, the totality of visible colours are optically generated. The background of the surface to be printed is previously analysed and the percentual quantity in each point of the based colours is deducted in the proportion contained in said background. The application of pigments is carried out by addition of a transparent substrate or medium or white until the proportion of each colour is completed. Application to graphic arts and to the computer reproduction of colours.

1.- Método para la aplicación de colores y tonalidades sobre superficies diversas en artes gráficas y para la reproducción informática del color que comprende la distribución de tres colores amarillo magenta y cyan de cuya suma en iguales proporciones resulta negro, que es distribuida en proporciones selectivas siendo susceptible de imprimir semitornos mediante la impresión selectiva en cantidad y distribución de colores, caracterizado por que el cliché se estructura en puntos que forman tramas líneas o retículas regularmente distribuidos, y cada uno de los puntos del cliché se estructura de forma por ejemplo centesimal formando filas y columnas de diez subdivisiones, por ejemplo exadecimal formando filas y columnas de cuatro subdivisiones, constituyéndose en cada uno de los puntos el porcentaje exacto de color base, distribuido en forma tal que los colores amarillo (1), magenta (2) y cyan (3) suman sus proporciones según una regla que determina la conjunción de dichos colores ocupando un espacio específico de cada punto común a dichos colores y al negro, destinando el espacio restante en cada punto al blanco o fondo sin imprimir .1.- Method for the application of colors and tonalities on diverse surfaces in graphic arts and for computer color reproduction comprising the distribution of three magenta yellow colors and cyan whose sum in equal proportions is black, which is distributed in selective proportions being able to print semithorns by selective printing in quantity and distribution of colors, characterized in that the cliché is structured into points forming regularly distributed lines or grids, and each of the points of the cliché is structured in a manner such as centesimal forming rows and columns of ten subdivisions, for example exadecimal forming rows and columns of four subdivisions, constituting in each of the points the exact percentage of base color, distributed in such a way that the colors yellow (1), magenta (2) and cyan (3) add their proportions according to a rule that determines the conjunction of said c smells occupying a specific space of each common point to said colors and black, allocating the remaining space in each point to the white or background without printing.
Method, characterized in that in supports (23) endowed with chromatic qualities, after colorimetric analysis, the chromatic percentage of said background (23) of the color (25) applied in the corresponding cliché is subtracted.
Method according to claim 1 characterized in that each of the points in its unit, it is subdivided into portions, the chromatism being distributed from the center (27, 28.1, 30) to the outside.
Method according to claim 1 characterized in that each of the points is distributed in portions, said point being subdivided into proportions formed by chromatic bands (32, 34, 37).
Method according to claim 1 characterized in that at each point the chromaticity is defined by computer means forming uniform (11) or capricious (13) arrangements.
Method according to claims 1 and 5 characterized in that the color set is divided into portions for example of four points (13), each of said points formed by a color defined by an identifiable concrete structure, possibly capricious.
Method, according to claim 1 characterized in that the rule of distribution of the yellow colors magenta and cyan, in each point comprises the subtraction between the sum of the two colors used least percentage and the third color percentage used, being its result the percentage of existing black if the two less used colors add up more than the most used, and the proportion of white is determined by the subtraction between the percentage available and the percentage of the most used color.
Method according to claim 1 characterized in that the distribution rule for pigment comprises the proportion of colors, magenta yellow and cyan or / and a colorless or medium diluent, and / or white in the 16
proporción restante hasta completar el porcentaje correspondiente a color base, binario o terciario. proportion remaining until the percentage corresponding to base, binary or tertiary color is completed.
