Abstract

The present invention refers to a novel hydraulic/mechanical apparatus to be used with a fishing line; it operates by means of a device which mechanism can be discharged in a submerged or semi-submerged mode, and only in contact with the water, thus avoiding an accidental discharge when being thrown into the water. Its operation is very simple, all one has to do is to throw the line with the device already installed, as soon as it enters the water the liquid starts running into a hole (14), filling up the compression chamber (13); upon contact with the prey the bolt is released, spearing the fish.

1 Title: "SUBMERGED AND SEMI SUBMERGED DISCHARGE TRIGGER FOR FISHING" DISCLOSURE OF THE MODEL The present invention refers to a novel trigger system to be used with

5 fishing line, by means of a device whose mechanism allows a submerged or semi submerged discharge, which occurs only in the presence of water, thus,

7 preventing an accidental decocking at the moment it is being thrown into the

8 water. This device makes the automatic spearing of the prey possible, dispensing with the fisherman's constant readness, as well as providing a perfect spearing of i the prey since the spearing impact acts directly upon the end of the fishing line, on the contrary of conventional fishing whose spearing impact is dampened by the fishing rod, line extension and, when used, by the float angle. It can also be employed on beach fishing, since the above mentioned 5 device does away with the spearing difficulty in this fishing mode, as well as 6 the unnecessary use of fishing rods, reels, etc., which are relentlessly ruined by 7 corrosion, after their unavoidable submersion when the fisherman wades into s the sea waves. 9 Since the afore mentioned fishing device has been designed to discharge only when filled with water, it is possible to be thrown at long distances by the i fisherman with a minimal possibility of being accidentally discharged. It is 2 excellent to capture those fish species which live among the rocks at the 3 bottom of the sea, seeing that the prey is prevented from burrowing after being 4 speared, provided the fisherman's end of the line is duly fastened to the boat. 5 Therefore, having in mind to solve such problems, the inventor designed and 6 developed the present "SUBMERGED AND SEMI SUBMERGED 7 DISCHARGE TRIGGER FOR FISHING" above mentioned, its operation 8 is somewhat simple, the fisheman only has to throw the line with the 9 "discharge trigger" installed on it, as soon as it enters the water, this penetrates 0 the device through a hole, filling the compression chamber, which upon 1 contact with the prey the bolt is actuated spearing the fish. 2 3 4 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS 5 6 So that one can easily visualize and understand the present invention 7 "SUBMERGED AND SEMI SUBMERGED DISCHARGE TRIGGER 8 FOR FISHING", here being presented, please find hereattached illustrations 9 depicting such device: 0 Figure 1 - shows the device interior lenghtwise view; i Figure 2 - shows the device external view. 2 Figure 3 - shows a detailed view of the bolt system inside the device body; Figure 4 - shows a perspective view of the device sliding piece. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE MODEL As per the illustrations and their details, the "SUBMERGED AND SEMI SUBMERGED DISCHARGE TRIGGER FOR FISHING", in question, features a telescopic baton (1) provided with threaded caps on both ends (2-2a) and a sliding piece inside it (3), in which a hole has been practiced (4) so as to allow the fishing line replacement, it has a bolt (5) with a metal ring on which the fishing line must be fastened (6), discharge sensitiveness regulators (7), upper coil spring (8), hollowed out undercuts (9) to contain the engagement and release pins (10) of the sliding piece (3), pin driving piston (11), shaft (12) to drive the pistons, water compressing chamber (13) water intake and outflow holes (14), water compressing piston (15) impact spring (17) coupler (16). Evidently, is is possible to conceive various "discharge trigger systems" similar to the one described and illustraded here, differing only in shape, dimension, proportion, material and other accessorial aspects, however, such units will remain forever firmly related to the idea and scope of this patent. Due to the advantages it offers and because it is a product of truly novel characteristics, the "SUBMERGED AND SEMI SUBMERGED DISCHARGE TRIGGER FOR FISHING" has all the necessary conditions to deserve the Invention Privilege.
