Description
The invention relates to a device for communication between a human and an animal by optical perception of the position and / or orientation of the ears.
Communication between humans and animals essentially takes place by means of leashes, whips or the like. Aids, which primarily takes place at the command level, in that humans give the animal commands via the above aids via acoustic or tactile perception. However, animals sometimes convey their surroundings via optical stimuli, e.g. by the position of the ears, how they feel and what they are feeling right now. This type of communication is particularly common among horses that convey their feelings and commands to other horses through the position of their ears.
The invention has for its object to provide a device by means of which it is possible for a person with an animal, particularly a horse, reindeer by the response of the optical perception of the animal to sense kommunizie ¬.
To achieve this object an apparatus for communi ¬ is munication between a human and an animal by optical see perception of the position and / or orientation of the ears is provided which is provided with a head attachment for mounting on a human head, two at the head mount mutually opposed mounts for holding models of an animal's ears, wherein the animal ear models can be moved relative to the holders and / or the holders can be moved relative to the head attachment and the animal ear models and the holders are secured in their respective positions against unintentional movements.
The invention is therefore a device that functions via optical perception and improves communication between humans and animals, in particular horses. In addition to a horse, this device can communicate with all animals that respond to different ear positions.
The device according to the invention has a head attachment with ear replicas movably mounted on it. These ear replicas are, in particular, mounted on the head attachment so that they can be rotated or pivoted about two axes running at right angles to one another. The headpiece has two holding elements for the ear replicas. The mounting elements are movably mounted on the head cap. It is possible that the mounting of the ear replicas on the mounting elements is rigid or movable.
By manually adjusting the ear replicas, the person wearing the headgear can communicate with the animal and - like a companion of the animal - give it optical signals. The ear replicas remain in their respective rotational or pivoting positions due to frictional force, latching or jamming of the parts of the bearings of the mounting elements that move relative to one another in each case on the head attachment and / or the ear replicas on the mounting elements. Advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the features of the subclaims.
Im einzelnen zeigen: An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. In detail show :
Fig. 1 eine Ansicht auf den Kopfaufsatz von vorn undFig. 1 is a view of the headpiece from the front and
Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht auf den Kopfaufsatz.Fig. 2 is a plan view of the headpiece.
In Figs. 1 and 2, a device 10 is shown in front view and top view, by means of which a person can communicate with an animal, in particular a horse, which responds to different ear positions. The device 10 has a head attachment 12 for placement on the head of a person. The head cap 12 is provided with a circumferentially variable ring 14, to which a bracket 18 is connected to two diametrically opposite regions 16, which is also variable in length. The adjustment mechanism of the bracket 18 is indicated at 20, while the length adjustment of the ring 14 is shown at 22.
Within the areas 16, two retaining elements 24 are connected to the ring 14 and are mounted on the ring 14 so as to be rotatable about a (horizontal) axis of rotation 26. Manually actuated adjusting screws 28 can be used to apply and set a clamping force on the holding elements 24, which enables the holding elements 24 to be pivoted steplessly about the axes of rotation 26 and to remain automatically in the respective pivot position, i.e. secured against unintentional movements.
Each mounting element 24 has a receiving bore 29 which extend transversely to the axes of rotation 26. The receiving bores 29 serve to receive bolts 30 which Wear stylized ear elements 32, the shape of which should be modeled on the ears of the animal with which communication is to take place. The bolts 30 are inserted into the receiving bores 29 with the creation of a frictional force, thereby preventing the ear elements 32 from being inadvertently rotated about the axes defined by the bolts 30.
Due to the rotary mounting around two axes running at right angles to one another, the ear elements 32 can be transferred into essentially any ear positions found in horses or animals with similar ears. Experiments have shown that the device 10 described here and shown in the drawing enables excellent communication with horses. It has been shown that it is not so much a lifelike replica of the animal's ears that is important, but rather that movable elements are arranged on the headgear that can be adjusted like the horse's ears (ie set up forward and laid back) .
