Abstract

A base transceiver station for use in a time distributed cellular radio communication system in which a beacon channel transmitter is arranged to transmit both beacon and traffic signals at a beacon frequency and a traffic channel transmitter is arranged to transmit traffic signals only at a traffic frequency.
