Abstract

A protein kinase having a structure related to that of a kinase enzyme of the p70S6K signalling pathway is described, wherein a serine or threonine residue homologous to T¿389? in p70?S6K¿ is replaced with an acidic amino acid residue in order to confer constitutive activity.
