Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de transfert de données à large bande d'une pluralité d'abonnés périphériques, par au moins deux câbles bilifaires affectés à ces abonnés, vers un réseau de télécommunication à longue portée, p. ex. Internet. Les données sont envoyées des abonnés périphériques disposés en une couche d'accès aux médias (MAC) vers une unité de commutation (ROUTER) centrale disposée en une couche de commutation. Cette unité de commutation permet de relier les abonnés à un réseau à longue portée, p. ex. Internet. Les données émises par les abonnés et subdivisées en paquets sont acheminées successivement par le câble bifilaire affecté et par un réseau local central, p. ex. au moins un répartiteur de noeud (HUB). L'adressage de chaque paquet de données est respectivement vérifié dans le pont central et/ou périphérique (4, 7, 40, 70). De cette manière, un paquet de données n'est retransmis à l'unité (1,10) de commutation (ROUTER) centrale par le ou les répartiteur(s) (HUB) de noeud(x) central(aux) (2.20) que lorsqu' une affectation univoque de l'abonné (9, 11, 13, 90) et de l'unité de commutation (ROUTER) centrale (1, 10) est constatée.
