Abstract

Cette invention concerne un clapet (1) pouvant être utilisé sur un cathéter à demeure. D'une manière générale, ce clapet (1) comprend un corps (2) à l'intérieur duquel se trouve un insert de clapet allongé (3). Le corps (2), qui possède une entrée (4) à une extrémité ainsi qu'une sortie (5) à l'autre extrémité, définit un passage longitudinal (7) qui relie ladite entrée (4) et ladite sortie (5). L'insert (3) de clapet comprend une canule (25) qui possède une entrée (26) dans la direction d'une de ses extrémités (27), ainsi qu'une sortie (28) dans la direction de l'autre extrémité (29). L'extrémité (27) d'entrée de la canule (25) se termine en une pointe effilée, tandis que l'extrémité de sortie (29) est arrondie et que la sortie (28) proprement dite est décalée axialement et vers l'intérieur par rapport à l'extrémité (29). L'insert (3) comprend en outre un joint (40) qui se compose d'un corps annulaire (41) fait d'un matériau élastique. Le corps comporte une ouverture (42) à travers laquelle dépasse l'extrémité de sortie (29) de la canule (25). Ce joint (40) possède une surface d'extrémité axiale qui va entrer en contact hermétique avec un siège (19) formé par le boîtier (2). La canule (25) peut se déplacer dans le boîtier (2) et passer d'une position fermée, où la sortie (28) est en amont du joint (40), en une position ouverte où cette même sortie (28) est en aval du joint (40). L'insert (3) de clapet comprend en outre un système de poussée se présentant sous forme d'un manchon élastique (50) qui est comprimé et va pousser la canule (25) en position fermée. La charge de compression dans le manchon (50) va également pousser le joint (40) en contact avec le siège (19). Dans la plupart des cas, l'insert (3) comprend également un autre manchon (60) qui recouvre et entoure l'entrée de la canule (25). Lors de l'utilisation, le manchon (60) est percé par la pointe effilée située sur l'extrémité (27) de la canule (25).
