Description

RIFLED BARREL
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention concerns to engineering of arms, in paiticular to barrels of artillery systems, shooting weapon and weapon of near fight s BACKGROUND ART
The basic part of the modern fire weapon is weapon barrel, intended for a direction of flight of a bullet or a shell while shooting, making to it required initial speed and the rotary movement for stabilization of a ballistic trajectory There is the process of gun-powder charge chemical energy transformation into kinetic energy of a bullet or shell as a result of charge combustion and expansion of
1 (1 gun-powder gases- products of combustion in the barrel The barrel includes the case and channel of barrel, which in turn, c onsists of a breech, including a breech-block part and the chamber foi a charge and a shell or chamber for a shell with a bullet, and pioperly of the ban el channel for the making of a du ection of flight of a bullet or shell There are known thi ee types of ban el channels (or leiners - thm- wallerl bearings) in the modern hie weapon
I S 1 ) Smooth - with a smooth internal surface of the channel, using which the rotation of a shell or bullet are made by cavities in a conducting part oi conducting collar of a bullet or shell, which inteiact with a coming flow of an ,
2) Polygonal - with the complex form of cross section, for example, correct polygon, thus the internal surface of the channel has the faceted form with sides, twisting on a spiral throughout of barrel
20 for the making of axial l otation to a shell or bullet /Latuchin A N Modern artillery M , Military book, 1970 /
The lack of smooth barrel is that after a shoot out from the bai rel channel the bullet or shell have not a rotary movement, therefore accuracy and the range of shooting is insignificant The lack of polygonal barrel is the fast abrasive wear of the ban el channel, as bec ause of a small angle of attack of
2~> a picking facet of barrel theie is the greater pressure on it that lesults m a faster atu ition of the channel surface T he lack of nfled baπel is that the volume if gun-povulei pushing gases passing into a backlash between a bullet or shell and inactive facet of the barrel thiead is increased already at a small abrasive wear between a smooth part of barrel in backlashes bi tween threads and bullet or shell, that is finally affects on efficiency of shooting
There is the rifled barrel of the fire weapon closest on technical essence to offered, which includes the case and barrel channel, consists of breech-block part and properly of the barrel channel, the threads on an internal surface or leiner of which have in cross section the triangular gear form on whole perimeter of barrel without smooth intervals between threads Such barrel has obtuse angles between facets of threads, that results smaller "passing" of gases on the angle between facets of barrel threads and shell or bullet /Fedoseev S L All about a pistol provides much more M , Elakos, 1995/
The lack of known barrel is that the friction force size, working on a picking facet, facet with a positive angle of attack much more, than on a inactive facet with a negative angle of attack It results in a fastei abrasive wcai of a picking facet and to an abrasive wear of the barrel channel non-uniform by perimeter, that results in increase of passing of gun-powder gases and, in a final total, to decrease of shooting efficiency
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION The problem of the invention consists in development of the weapon barrel construction, in which positive qualities of polygonal ban el would be combined, that is high degree of tightness between a bullet or shell and walls of the barrel channel, excluding passing of gast s and high degree of twist, due to a greater angle of the picking facet attack, inherent to the rifled barrel
The technical result, achievable by invention usage is the increasing of kinetic energy of a shell or bullet at shoot out from the barrel and increasing duration of period of an effective utilisation of weapon barrel, that is increasing of a barrel resource
The required technical result is reached by that just as known weapon barrel, the offered barrel includes the case and channel of barrel, consisting of the breech part and properly barrel channel, the threads on an internal surface or leiner of which have in cross section the gear triangular form on whole perimeter of barrel without smooth intervals between threads, thus the parties of a triangular tooth are forming of picking and inactive facets of barrel channel threads
However, as against known barrel the picking facet is carried out with the major by module angle of attack, than inactive one in offeied barrel The fact that the plane of a picking facet is carried out radial, that is normal to a circle of barrel perimeter promotes the achievement of technical result.
The fact that the inactive facet is carried out concave promotes the achievement of technical result. The fact, that the transitions between picking and inactive facets of threads, and also between facets and walls of the barrel channel are carried out smooth promotes the achievement of technical result.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
The essence of the invention is explained by the drawing, where on fig. 1 a cross section of offered weapon barrel is shown. The cross section of an internal surface of the barrel channel or leiner represents the complex located on perimeter of tooth-alike threads, the short abrupt side of which 1 is the forming of picking facet, and the low-grade and longer side 2 is a forming inactive facet with a negative angle of attack.
There is the cut of the barrel with smooth transitions between picking and inactive facets and walls of the barrel channel is represented on fig. 2.
THE MODES FOR CARRING OUT THE IN VENTION The offered barrel includes the case and the barrel channel, consisting of breech part and properly of the barrel channel, the threads on an internal surface or leiner of which have in cross section the gear triangular form on whole perimeter of barrel without smooth intervals between threads, thus the parties of a triangular tooth are forming picking 1 and inactive 2 facets of barrel channels threads. However, as against known barrel the picking facet 1 is carried out with the major by module angle of attack, than inactive one 2 in offered barrel.
The plane of a picking facet 1 can be carried out radial, that is normal to a circle of barrel perimeter. The inactive facet 2 can be carried out concave.
The transitions between picking 1 and inactive 2 facets of threads, and also between facets and walls of the barrel channel can be carried out smooth. INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The device is applied as follows
While shooting pushing gun-powder gases press on a back wall of a shell or bullet, impressing conducting collai or conducting part of the last in threads of the barrel channel As the threads in a surface of the barrel channel are carried out on a spiral along the channel, the bullet or shell moving along threads, receive a rotary movement, promoting stabilization of a ballistic trajectory and accuracy of shooting At the moving of a bullet or shell along the barrel channel the part of kinetic energy is spent for interaction with threads facets causing force of reaction of a picking facet 1 which then gives a bullet or shell a rotary movement, and force of friction resulting to breaking of particles of a material with a surface of barrel and an abrasive weai of barrel Both these forces are directed on normal to a picking facet of threads Due to a negative angle of attack the force of the inactive facet reaction is away, and the force of friction is much less, than on a picking facet The more abrupt the picking facet 1, the more is force of leaction and effective twist, it causes efficiency of rectangulai threads in known barrels In accordance with an attrition and abrasive wear the angle of the picking facet 1 inclination decreases As the direction of reaction force still remaining normal to a picking facet changes, the tangential projection of it giving rotation gradually decreases The shooting efficiency, caused in parameters of twist, remains high so long as the angles of picking 1 and inactive 2 facets will not become equal Then the staying icsource of barrel becomes equal to a resource of the banel-ptototype
Thus, proceeding from above-stated the offered consti uction of barrel unites in itself useful properties of rifled and polygonal barrels
The device is made on the usual equipment foi pi oduction of rifled barrels and does not require the new technologies
There are a few technologies of barrels production for the shooting weapon
The method of blank drilling with the subsequent processing of the barrel channel drawing and polish oi chromizmg of the barrel channel internal surface - cheapest and widespread method The pioduction of offei ed barrels by this method lequires replacement chawing of the classical form by drawing of other complex form The electrophysical etching method of blank by submission onto blank (anode) positive electrical charge, and onto a long detail of the complex form (cathode) - negative and passing the hydrochloric solution between them - very exact method, which can make ban el fiom steel of any hardness, but thus there are restiiclions on calibre of made barrels (at the small calibie the solution is not washed out), therefore this method use in basic by production of barrels for heavy-caliber machine guns and artillery barrels The production of offered barrels by this method requires replacement of the cathode
The method anvilhng of blank (hot or cold) onto coin of the complex form by the radial press with effoit 20 - 40 tons, thus on an internal surface of the barrel channel will be formed very strong and wearproof layei of metal - one of the most perspective methods of weapon barrels production, at which maximum icsoui ce of made bai rels is reached The production of offered barrels by this method requites replacement of coin
The replacement of individual details of the equipment has not any difficulty or large expenses, as these details concern to the category short-lived and frequently succeeding and their form will not be complicated considerably
