Abstract
The invention relates to a method and device for providing with surface structure a laminate or the coating of a substrate. Embossing is carried out using the production heat of the laminate or the coated substrate. The laminate or the coating consists of papers impregnated with condensation resins set by heat. The laminate or the coated substrate is conveyed, immediately after heating and pressing in a press operating continuously or discontinuously and before setting of the laminate or coating, through an embossing device (8) arranged outside the press (1). The furniture, plastics and electrical engineering industry and other manufacturing branches are areas of application in which laminates and coated substrates are used.
Claims
1.
