Abstract
A vibrating head for massage equipment is particularly suitable for therapeutic equipment used to apply the rhythmic neuromuscular stimulation method. The object of the invention is to design a vibrating head that makes it possible for the therapist to immediately adapt the amplitude to the momentary resonating quality of an individual muscle during a muscle treatment without any frequency variation. For this purpose, the contour of the vibrating head is based on the geometry of the 'Fibonacci spiral' and its axis of vibration (3) is arranged at the centre of the spiral. The longitudinal axis (1) of the vibrating head crosses the centre of the 'Fibonacci spiral'. The closed spiral line (2) between the two points of intersection A and B and the spiral line mirrored about the longitudinal axis (1) form the contour of the vibrating head.
Description
Schwingkopf für MassagegeräteSwing head for massagers
The invention relates to a vibrating head for massage devices, which is used in particular in therapy devices for applying the rhythmic neuromuscular stimulation (RNS) method.
According to DE 44 08 867 A1, a device for deep therapy of the movement muscles is known, with which a therapist carries out treatment of tense muscles, spinal disc manipulations, scar treatments, etc. in rehabilitation facilities. In the method of rhythmic neuromuscular stimulation, the therapy device acts on tense and stretched muscles along the muscle fibers, with the deep muscles also being treated intensively. The treatment head of the device for deep therapy has a round shape and can be connected symmetrically or asymmetrically to the basic device. Due to the constructive design of the basic device and the connection to the treatment head, depending on a preselectable and adjustable frequency setting, this performs both an oscillating and a movement form as an angular amplitude with a vibration range of approx. 2 to 6 mm.
The object of the invention is to design an oscillating head in such a way that the therapist can immediately adapt his amplitude individually to the instantaneous resonance quality of the muscle during muscle treatment even without frequency variation.
Die konstruktive Gestaltung läßt eine individuelle Bearbeitung verschiedener Muskelschwingungen zu.According to the invention the object was achieved in that the contour of the oscillating head is formed from the geometry of the "Fibonacci spiral" and its oscillation axis is arranged in the center of the spiral. The advantages achieved with the invention consist in particular in that, in addition to the previous frequency variation on the control unit by the oscillating head, the amplitude individually to the instantaneous resonance quality of the muscle, which changes during the treatment and can therefore be felt by the therapist, immediately by turning of the device can be adjusted. The RNS device with its oscillating head can thus be integrated into the feedback loop between the therapist and the patient, so to speak, so that the desired therapeutic goal can be achieved in the shortest possible time. Compared to conventional treatment heads, the oscillating head is more suitable for coupling the vibration energy generated by the RNS device into the muscles. The curve shape formed also allows more energy to be introduced into the deeper muscles. The constructive design allows individual processing of different muscle vibrations.
The longitudinal axis of the oscillating head preferably runs through the center of the “Fibonacci spiral”, the closed spiral line between the two intersection points and the spiral line mirrored about the longitudinal axis forming the contour of the oscillating head.
In der zugehörigen Zeichnung zeigen:The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. In the accompanying drawing:

The shape of the shell forms a logarithmic spiral that has the proportions of the golden ratio. The growth sections of the logarithmic spiral are circumscribed with golden rectangles, each one square larger than the previous one. As shown in FIG. 1, the harmony of the Fibonacci series can also be found in this spiral shell. From this "Fibonacci spiral", which is the most general expression of biological growth processes, the oscillating head was developed. Over the Fibonacci series: 5 - 8 - 13 - 21 - 34 a longitudinal axis 1 is placed for the oscillating head through the center of the spiral. This intersects the spiral at points A and B, between which a closed spiral line 2 is created. The spiral line 2 results, as can be seen from FIG. 2, half the contour of the oscillating head. After mirroring the spiral line 2 about the longitudinal axis 1, the complete contour of the oscillating head is formed.
As shown in Figure 3, the oscillating head has an oscillating axis 3, which has its origin in the center of the spiral. A head receptacle 4 in a form known per se enables a connection to an RNS massager. The vibration energy generated by the RNS massager is introduced into the peripheral muscles via the oscillating head, with an amplitude of approximately 2 mm to 6 mm being predefined on the control unit depending on the frequency set. By turning the oscillating head during the treatment, the amplitude can be increased to approx. 10 mm.
