Abstract

A simultaneous broadcast management system for measuring and correcting phase error in simultaneous broadcast systems, the system having a specialized receiver for demodulating two or more channels. The demodulated information is compared to determine relative phase difference and transmission delays are implemented to equalize relative delay of the received signals. Temporal alignment of at least two remote transmitting sites is performed using different channels to avoid the simulcast condition during alignment of transmitters in the system. Alternate systems employ directional antennas to perform alignment under simulcast conditions.
