Abstract

The invention relates to a support/transfer wheel system (3) intended for use in a guide rail (2) mounted above a balcony glass cover or a like transferable element (1). The wheel system (3) includes a supporting wheel (4), which is journalled to be pivotable around a vertical axle (7) mounted on the upper edge of the element (1) and intended to bear against the guide rail (2), and at least one guiding wheel (5) journalled to be pivotable around the vertical axle (7). The vertical axle (7) is provided with a bearing bush (6), around which the supporting wheel (4) rotates in a journalled fashion. Inside the bearing bush (6) is provided a lengthwise, upwards opening space (8) which is fitted with a longitudinally movable lifting stud (10), which is bringable to a position protruding from the bearing bush (6).

Description

SUPPORTTRANSFER WHEELSYSTEMFOR ANOVERHEADGUIDERAIL
The present invention relates to a support/transfer wheel system included in a suspension assembly for a balcony glass cover or a like transferable element. Such a suspension assembly comprises a guide rail above the element, having a cross-section substantially in the shape of an inverted U, inside said U being fitted an element support/transfer wheel system portable lengthwise of the guide rail, and guide means below the element.
An object of the present invention is to provide an improved support/transfer wheel system for use in the above type of suspension assembly for a balcony glass cover or a like transferable element. In order to achieve this object, a support/transfer wheel system of the invention is characterized by what is set forth in the characterizing clause of claim 1.
The invention will now be described in more detail with reference made to the accompanying drawing, whose only figure depicts a support/transfer wheel system of the invention in a schematic cross-section.
The figure illustrates a support/transfer wheel system 3 of the invention mounted on an overhead guide rail 2, wherein the bottom portion of one arm of U is provided with a support protrusion 13 extending within the U. The wheel system 3 includes a supporting wheel 4 and at least one guiding wheel 5 which, in the depicted embodiment, is located above the supporting wheel 4. The supporting wheel 4 is supported on top of the support protrusion 13, being transferable lengthwise of the guide rail 2. The suspendable element 1 has its upper edge fitted with a vertical axle 7 provided with a bearing bush 6, around which the supporting wheel 4 is mounted in a journalled fashion. In the depicted embodiment, the bearing bush 6 is attached in a threaded manner to the axle 7, facilitating vertical adjustment of the wheel system. The bearing bush could also be fixedly mounted on the axle 7 or be manufactured as an integral component with the axle 7. Inside the bearing bush 6 is provided an upwards opening space 8, which includes a bottom portion 9. Said space 8 is fitted with a longitudinally movable lifting stud 10, which is loaded outwards by a spring means arranged between the lifting stud 10 and the bottom 9 of the space 8 for bringing the lifting stud 10 to a position protruding from the bearing bush 6. In the depicted embodiment, the guiding wheel 5 is journalled around the top portion of the bearing bush 6 and it is portable in the axial direction of the bearing bush 6 against the loading of a spring 15. This axially directed transfer facilitates installation of the wheel system 3 on the guid rail 2 through gates (not shown) included in the side wall of said guide rail. The guiding wheel 5 could also be mounted around a top portion 12 of the supporting wheel 4 to be journalled relative to the supporting wheel 4. The number of guiding wheels 5 may be more than 1 whereby, for example, one guiding wheel 5 could be included in the top portion 12 of the supporting wheel 4 and the other could be journalled on the bearing bush 6. It is also conceivable that a guiding wheel be located below the supporting wheel 4 by modifying the guide rail in an appropriate manner.
An object of the spring-loaded lifting stud 10 is to serve in various locking operations for locking the element 1 in desired positions relative to the guide rail 2.

Claims
1. A support/transfer wheel system (3) for use in a guide rail (2) mounted above a balcony glass cover or a like transferable element (1), c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that the wheel system (3) includes a supporting wheel (4), which is journalled to be pivotable around a vertical axle (7) mounted on the upper edge of the element (1 ) and intended to bear against the guide rail (2), and at least one guiding wheel (5) journalled to be pivotable around the vertical axle (7); that the vertical axle (7) is provided with a bearing bush (6), around which the supporting wheel (4) rotates in a journalled fashion; that inside the bearing bush (6) is provided a lengthwise, upwards opening space (8); and that said space (8) is fitted with a longitudinally movable lifting stud (10), which is bringable to a position protruding from the bearing bush (6).
2. A support/transfer wheel system as set forth in claim 1, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that between the lifting stud (10) and a bottom portion (9) of said space (8) is fitted a spring means (11) for loading the lifting stud (10) outwards from the space.
3. A support/transfer wheel system as set forth in claim 1 or 2, c h a r a c t e r i z e d in that said at least done guiding wheel (5) is journalled on the bearing bush (6) and/or around a top portion (12) of the supporting wheel (4). AMENDED CLAIMS

A support/transfer wheel system (3) for use in a guide rail (2) mounted above a balcony glass cover or a like 5 transferable element (1), the wheel system (3) including a supporting wheel (4), which is journalled to be pivotable around a vertical axle (7) mounted on the upper edge of the element (1) and intended to bear against the guide rail (2), and at least one guiding wheel (5) journalled to 0 be pivotable around the vertical axle (7), c h a r a c ¬ t e r i z e d in that the vertical axle (7) is provided with a bearing bush (6), around which the supporting wheel (4) rotates in a journalled fashion; that inside the bearing bush (6) is provided a lengthwise, upwards opening 5 space (8); and that said space (8) is fitted with a longitudinally movable lifting stud (10), which is bringable to a position protruding from the bearing bush (6).
