Abstract

The present invention relates to a piston assembly with self-adjusting and self-lubricating device. This piston assembly has two piston rings, i.e. one is a combination compression ring, the other is a combination oil control ring. The combination compression ring is composed of a main ring element and an auxiliary ring element. The two ring elements engage with each other on their flat sides, and there is a notch for accommodating lubrication oil provided in the engaging portion. Similarly, the combination oil control ring is composed of a secondary compression ring and a main oil control ring. The construction of the combination oil control ring is substantially as same as that of the combination compression ring. Because the piston assembly has only two rings, its weights, friction forces and inertial forces can thus be reduced, and its sealability, output power can be increased, therefore, the fuel consumption, noise and emission of an engine can be reduced.
