Abstract

The system that allows the development and realization of precision models in the dental technology, with a base in plastic material, and also the realization of duplicates, comprises a modular container (1), called muffle, into which the model to be duplicated is fixed, and provided with means (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) for performing the casting of water-colloid substances, the following extraction of the same, as well as means (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) for the development of plaster models, starting from a print (11).

Description

"A SYSTEM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRECISION MODELS IN THE DENTAL TECHNOLOGY, WITH A BASE IN PLASTIC MATERIAL, AND FOR THE REALIZATION OF DUPLICATES"
The present invention concerns a system that allows the development and realization of precision models in the dental technology, with a base in plastic material, and also the realization of duplicates, obtained with water-colloid substances.
It iε the aim of the present invention to allow, by means of one single, easy and inexpensive device, the functional, precise and quick realization of said models in the dental technology, as well as duplicates thereof.
The system according to the present invention comprises a modular container, called muffle, wherein the model to be duplicated is fixed; said muffle is provided with means for performing a casting of water-colloid substances as well as for the further extraction thereof, and also means for the development of plaster models starting from a print. The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which an embodiment is shown.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric, transparency view of a variant of the system for the development of duplicates.
Figure 2 shows an axonometric, exploded view of the composing elements.
Figures 3 and 4 respectively show an axonometric and exploded view of the system prepared with means for the realization of models.
The enclosed figures show a system for the development of precision models in the dental technology, with a base in plastic material, for the realization of duplicates, comprising: - a containing structure 1, preferably of parallelepiped shape, with an opening 2 for the possible projection of the handles of spoons and similar and of stop means 3 for the insertion, in its upper part, of the plexiglas bases 4, onto which are fixed the models M to be duplicated; - a shaped wall 5, preferably out of plexiglas, for closing said structure 1 from the back part, and that may be fixed by means of screws 6 or similar and provided with holes 7, for performing the casting of the water-colloid substances, used for determining the realization of the duplicated of the model M;
- a shaped wall 8, alternative to said wall 5, for the development of plaster models.
Relating now to the details shown in figures 1 and 2, the use of the system according to the present invention - for what concerns the realization of duplicates - may be described as follows:
- the model M to be duplicated is fixed, by means of pins or by means of adhesive wax, onto a base 4 out of plexiglas;
- said base - having the model M inside - is placed in the upper part of said structure 1;
- the open side is closed by applying the shaped wall 5;
- the casting of the water-colloid substances is performed, through one of said holes 7 performed in said wall 5, filling up said structure 1; the time for cooling the water-co11 oi d substances may be accelerated in a low- temperature ambient; - said container 1 is opened, by removing the screws 6 from said wall 5, and the shaped water- colloid substance, now ready for the realization of the duplicate, is removed.
The use of the system according to the present invention for the development of precision models in plaster, provides the use of plastic material bases for avoiding the problems due to the expansion of the model and of plastiline or other similar materials for the sealed closing of the openings of said structure 1, and comprises the following phases:
- onto the bottom, internal to said structure 1, a shaped thickness 9 is placed, with the plane inclined towards said opening 2;
- a spoon 10 with the mark 11 is placed above said thickness 9, whereby the handle projects from said opening 2;
- said structure 1 is closed with said shaped wall 8, by means of screws 6 or similar;
- a plexiglas base 13 is placed on the lower part of said structure 1 , and it is blocked by means of screws 14, so that precision holes may be performed in it, corresponding to the stumps D of the overlaying print 11; - a plurality of pins are placed in said holes, and after the casting of the plaster into said mark 11 is performed, said base 13 is placed in the upper part;
- said base 13 is placed onto the cast plaster, with the pins 15 turned towards the inside of said structure 1, until the plaster becomes thick;
- the obtained precision model is taken off and inished.
Beyond above mentioned applications, the system according to the present invention may be also used for the realization of spoons for print- supports and prothesis ' out of cold resin.

Claims

1. A system that allows the development of precision models in the dental technology, with a base in plastic material, and also the realization of duplicates, characterized in:
- a containing structure (1), preferably of parallelepiped shape, with an opening (2) for the possible projection of the handles of spoons and similar and of stop means (3) for the insertion, in its upper part, of the plexiglas bases (4), onto which are fixed the models M to be duplicated;
- a shaped wall (5), preferably out of plexiglas, for closing said structure (1) from the back part, and that may be fixed by means of screws (6) or similar and provided with holes (7), for performing the casting of the water-colloid substances, used for determining the realization of the duplicated of the model (M) ;
- a shaped wall (8), alternative to said wall (5), for the development of plaster models.
2. A system according to claim 1, characterized in the operative phases for the realization of the duplicates: - the model (M) to be duplicated is fixed, by means of pins or by means of adhesive wax, onto a base (4) out of plexiglas;
- said base - having the model (M) inside - is placed in the upper part of said structure ( 1 ) ;
- the open side is closed by applying the shaped wall (5);
- the casting of the water-colloid substances is performed, through one of said holes (7) performed in said wall (5), filling up said structure (1 ) ; the time for cooling the water-col 1oid substances may be accelerated in a low- temperature ambient;
- said container (1) is opened, by removing the screws (6) from said wall (5), and the shaped water-colloid substance, now ready for the realization of the duplicate, is removed.

A system according to claim 1, comprising the use of bases out of plastic material for avoiding the problems concerning the expansion of the model, or of plastiline or other similar materials used for the sealed closing of the openings of said structure (1), characterized in the operative phases for the realization of the precision models: - onto the bottom, internal to said structure 1, a shaped thickness (9) is placed, with the plane inclined towards said opening (2);
- a spoon (10) with the mark (11) is placed above said thickness (9), whereby the handle projects from said opening (2);
- said structure (1) is closed with said shaped wall (8), by means of screws (6) or similar;
- a plexiglas base (13) is placed on the lower part of said structure (1) , and it is blocked by means of screws (14), so that precision holes may be performed in it, corresponding to the stumps (D) of the overlaying print (11);
- a plurality of pins are placed in said holes, and after the casting of the plaster into said mark (11) is performed, said base (13) is placed in the upper part;
- said base (13) is placed onto the cast plaster, with the pins (15) turned towards the inside of said structure (1), until the plaster becomes thick;
- the obtained precision model is taken off and finished.
