Abstract

The invention concerns materials and methods relating to an ATP-sensitive potassium ion channel (a K-ATP channel) molecule (and subunits thereof) which is implicated in a number of disease states associated with abnormal coupling of cellular metabolism to K+ fluxes and/or electrical activity.
