  • the crank portion 222 is capable of cooperating with various wheel rims, tires, the rear forks having various dividing angles, gear pieces, and the chain guards.
  • the arcuate section 226 of the crank portion 222 has a profile similar to that of the rear forks. As a result, the crank portion 222 at work is not prone to hit the rear forks, the chain guard and other component parts contiguous to the crank portion 222.
  • the slots 228 are provided respectively on the outer side thereof with a pad 40 for causing the crank set to move outwards an appropriate distance.
  • the engaging surface of the female and the male threads are urged securely by the spring 224 for making the microadjustment easy without the use of the conventional correcting device which often disturbs the vertical relationships between the pedal and the longitudinal line ofthe bicycle frame.
  • the present invention is therefore suitable for use in a bicycle having the chain guard of an extra large size of a special form.
  • the structural design of the present invention is based on the midpoint of the axis of the axle of a bicycle. As a result, the device of the present invention can avert the mechanical interference between the crank and the component parts contiguous to the crank. In addition, the device of the present invention is safe and compatible with bicycles of all models and sizes.

Abstract

Dispositif d'arrêt de manivelle d'engrenage de bicyclette qui comporte un essieu, un premier élément d'arrêt et un second élément d'arrêt. L'essieu est fixé pivotant au tube à cinq ramifications d'un cadre de bicyclette et est doté d'une tige rotative. Le premier élément d'arrêt comporte une partie manivelle dotée d'un segment incurvé et d'un segment linéaire, qui sont connectés à une intersection à laquelle une ligne inclinée s'étendant depuis le point central de l'axe de l'essieu et formant un angle prédéterminé α avec l'axe de l'essieu rencontre une ligne droite qui s'étend depuis une face externe de la pièce d'engrenage du premier élément d'arrêt sur une distance prédéterminée L. Le segment linéaire est perpendiculaire à l'axe de l'essieu. Le second élément d'arrêt possède une partie manivelle correspondant en profil à la partie manivelle du premier élément d'arrêt. Les premier et second éléments d'arrêt sont fixés à la tige rotative de l'essieu.
