Abstract

Un exerciseur comporte une base dotée d'un mécanisme d'entraînement qui permet à un utilisateur de faire travailler la partie inférieure du corps. Selon un premier mode de focntionnement, des leviers à main pivotants engendrent une résistance au niveau de la partie supréieure du corps. Selon un second mode de fonctionnement, un mécanisme de verrouillage bloque les leviers à main pivotants dans une pluralité de positions fixes dans une plage de mouvements que peut effectuer l'utilisateur. Les leviers à main pivotants fonctionnent à la manière de guidons dans le second mode de fonctionnement. Une structure en pont raccorde les leviers à main pivotants dans le second mode de fonctionnement. Le mécanisme de verrouillage permet également le blocage des leviers à main dans une position avant, fixe, en dehors d'une plage de mouvements de l'utilisateur. Ces leviers à main pivotants peuvent comporter un mécanisme de communication actionné par l'utilisateur permettant de commander une unité électronique de commande de la résistance et/ou d'affichage électronique. Le mécanisme de communication est de préférence un mécanisme sans fil, du type infrarouge ou ultrasonique.
