Abstract
The litter is characterized by the very good humidity and odour absorption whereas the moistened parts of the litter take the form of the compact lumps. The litter is being made of the natural loamy mineral in the amount of 90-99 gravimetric % as well as of the wooddust or of the sawdust in the amount of 10-1 gravimetric %, advantageously with the addition of the aromatic substances.
Description
Litter for small domestic animals, especially for cats
The subject - matter of the invention is the litter for the excrements of the small animals, especially of the cats in the domestic breeding.
Hitherto in the breeding of the domestic animals are generally employed such materials as sand, sawdust, lignin, paper and similar ones.
The fault of the known state of technique is the necessity to change frequently the whole layer of the litter because of its low absorption and the large vaporization surface.
The purpose of the invention is the elaboration of a litter asecuring the good hygienic conditions to the animals being comfortable and economical in employment.
The litter according to the invention has been based on the natural components and is characterized by the very good absorption of humidity and odour whereas the moistened parts of the litter take the form of the compact lumps which can be succesively removed from the vessel until the entire exhaustion of the litter.
The litter consists of the mixture of the natural loamy mineral in the amount of 90 - 99 gravimetric % as well as of the wooddust or sawdust in the amount of 10 - 1 gravimetric % exposed to the granulation process.
As the loamy mineral is employed the kaolinite, illit, montmorillonite, bydellite or their mixtures.
Advantageously it is being employed the montmorillonite in the form of the natural bentonite loam.
Advantageously the litter contains the addition of the aromatic substances such as the pine-oil, bergamot, mint-oil, lemon-oil or similar in the amount of 0,01 gravimetric %. Example I
The litter contains 93 gravimetric % of the natural bentonite loam and 7 gravimetric % of the wooddust. Example II
The litter contains 98 gravimetric % of the natural bentonite loam and kaolinite, 1 ,995 gravimetric % of the sawdust and 0,005 gravimetric percents of the pine-oil.
Example III
The litter contains 90 gravimetric % of the kaolinite-illit and mont¬ morillonite loam, 9,99 gravimetric % of sawdust and 0,01 gravimetric % of the bergamot. Example IV
The litter contains 95 gravimetric% of bydellite and 5 gravimetric % of wooddust.
Claims
Patent claims
1 he litter for the small domestic animals, especially for cats, characterized in that it is being made by the mixture of the natural loamy mineral in the amount of 90-99 gravimetric % and of the wooddust or sawdust in the amount of 10-1 gravimetric %, exposed to the granulation process.
2.The litter according to the claim 1 , characterized in that the loamy mineral is made of kaolinite, illit, montmorillonite, bydelite or of their mixtures.
3.The litter according to the claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the montmorillonite is being employed in theform of the bentonite loam.
4. The litter according to the claim 1 , characterized in that it contains the aromatic substances in the amount of up to 0,01 gravimetric %.
5 The litter according to the claims 1 and 4 , characterized in that as the aromatic substances are being employed the pine-oil, bergamot, mint-oil, lemon-oil and similar ones.
