Abstract
Flexible container with a longitudinal sealing and a tear-off opening ribbon characterized by the fact that is equipped with a internally fixed transversal ribbon (2) that starts from the longitudinal sealing (3, 17 and 18), being this sealing located close to one of the container's edge (1, 10). The ribbon (2) ends behind one of the further edges, so allowing the complete opening, with a single operation, of one or more whole walls of the container.
Description
"FLEXIBLE CONTAINER WITH A LONGITUDINAL SEALING AND A TEAR-OFF OPENING RIBBON"
TECHNICAL FIELD
This invention refers to the packaging technology generally included in the international classification B65d, especially to envelopes or flexible bags equipped with a tear-off opening ribbon.
STATE OF THE ART
There exist several kinds of flexible bags or pillows provided with a longitudinal sealing located on a medium zone of their frontal side, equipped with a tear-off opening ribbon that presents some problems for the user. The complete opening of a whole wall of the package can't be performed with a single tearing operation because the ribbon doesn't start from an edge. Since it starts from a central zone of the package, the pulled ribbon is able to open only a part of the first wall and consequently the pouring of the products results compromised. The present invention suggests an optimal solution that allows, with a single action, the complete opening of entire walls of the container.
DESCRIPTION
The invention is now clarified in detail with reference to the figures of the attached drawings, in which some kinds or realization .are represented as a not binding example,
Figure 1 is a frontal view of a flexible envelope sealed and equipped internally with a ribbon for the tear opening located transversally to the longitudinal sealing near an edge of the envelope.
Figure 2 represents in plan the transversal section of the same envelope and it highlights the fact that the tearing ribbon for the opening presents an appendix
for grasping with the fingers and it stays attached internally, until it ends with the other ending fixed to the hinder wall of the envelope.
Figure 3 is a frontal view of the same envelope with the ribbon stretched at the end of the complete opening of the first wall
Figure 4 represents in plan the transversal section of figure 3.
Figure 5 is a perspective view showing the envelope grasped with the left hand and the ribbon held with the right hand.
Figure 6 highlights the fact that the complete opening of the whole first wall is performed with a single operation: while the envelope is kept still with the left hand, the ribbon is pulled with the right.
Figure 7 is a perspective view showing the fact that the right hand, after having completed with a single action the tearing operation, can be used in order to enlarge the opening made on the forepart of the envelope.
Figure 8 is a perspective view showing the partial pouring of the product.
Figure 9 shows the practicality of the reclosing of the package after the partial pouring of the product.
Figure 10 is a vertical section showing the practicality and the reliability of the envelope's reclosing.
Figure 11 is a perspective view similar to figure 5, with the only difference that the ribbon is fixed internally all along the perimeter of the envelope, in order to obtain the complete opening and the removal of the upper part.
Figure 12 represents the envelope completely opened and with the upper part removed.
Figures 13,14,15, 16, 17,18,19,20,21 and 22 show a bag with the longitudinal sealing (17) made near to an edge on the side wall of the bag, close to the hinder wall.
Figures 23 and 24 show a bag with the longitudinal sealing (18) performed close to an edge on the fore wall of the bag.
Figure 13 in detail refers to a bag with the ribbon that starts where the longitudinal sealing is posed but ends on the opposite side wall, that is after two following edges.
Figure 14 in detail highlights the fact that the stretched ribbon has allowed, with a single operation, to open completely the whole side wall of the bag
Figure 15 in detail refers to a bag with the ribbon that starts always from the side wall where the longitudinal sealing is placed, but ends on the opposite side wall, that is after two following edges.
Figure 16 highlights the fact that the stretched ribbon has allowed, with a single operation, to open completely a side wall and the whole fore wall of the bag.
Figure 17 in detail refers to a bag with the ribbon that starts always from the longitudinal sealing but ends fixed to the hinder wall, that is after three following edges
Figure 18 highlights the fact that the stretched ribbon has allowed, with a single operation, to open completely three walls of the package
Figure 19 shows the lifting of the upper part of the bag.
Figure 20 shows the reclosing operation of the bag
Figure 21 in detail refers to a bag with the ribbon that starts always from the longitudinal sealing and it stays internally fixed to the entire perimeter of the bag.
Figure 22 shows the bag completely open and the upper part removed
Figure 23 in detail refers to a bag with the ribbon that starts always from the edge where the longitudinal sealing (18) is placed and ends right after the following edge.
Figure 24 highlights the fact that the stretched ribbon has allowed, with a single operation, to open completely the whole fore wall of the bag
Even though it is not shown in the figures of the attached drawing, it is clear that the opening operations can be performed in the same manner as disclosed in
the figures 13 to 22 if the ribbon, that starts always from the longitudinal sealing (18), ends right after the following edges, in order to allow , with a single operation, the complete opening of the following walls of the container In the figures of the attached drawing each detail is marked as follows
(1) is a flexible bag,
(2) is a ribbon fixed to the internal walls of the container,
(3) is a longitudinal sealing of envelope-shaped container,
(4) is an appendix for grasping with the fingers;
(5) is the left hand,
(6) is fore wall of the container,
(7) is the right hand;
(8) is the other ending of the ribbon and specifically the one fixed to the internal walls of the container;
(9) is the hinder wall of the container,
(10) is a envelope-shaped or pillow-shaped container,
(11) is the transversal bottom sealing of the container,
(12) is the top transversal sealing of container,
(13) is the top rim of the opening buttonhole made by the teaπng ribbon,
(14) is the πm of the complete opening of the container,
(15) is the lower rim of the opening buttonhole made by the tearing ribbon,
(16) are two cuts made in the flexible film on the longitudinal sealing in order to facilitate the beginning of the ribbon tearing operation,
(17) is the longitudinal sealing made close to an edge on the side wall of the flexible bag,
(18) is the longitudinal sealing made close to an edge on the fore wall of the flexible bag,
The clearness of the figures highlights the fact the buttonhole (13) (15), obtained by the tearing-off, starts from the cuts (16) made on the longitudinal
sealing (3), (17), (18) that are placed always close to an edge of the container and ends on one of the following edges.
The invention basically lies in having identified as an optimal solution the realization of flexible bags with the longitudinal sealing close to an edge, being these containers equipped inside with a tearing ribbon that starts always where said sealing is placed and ends after one of the following edges, in order to get the chance to open completely one or more whole walls with a single operation. Furthermore such solution allows the usage of ribbon of reduced length. It is therefore evident that in the basic principle of the present invention will include all those flexible containers with longitudinal sealing close to an edge and with the tearing ribbon for the opening that starts always from said sealing and ends right after one of the following edges, in order to allow with a single operation the complete opening of one or more internal walls, and according to the inventive scheme as described, shown and hereinafter claimed.

2) Flexible container, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the ribbon (2) ends behind one of the further edges, so allowing the complete opening, with a single operation, of one or more whole sides of the container
3) Flexible container, according to claim 1 and 2, characterized by the fact that the length of the ribbon (2) is reduced to the mere opening length requested on the container, that is reduced to the dimensions of those sides that have to be completely opened.
4) Flexible container, according to claim 1, 2 and 3, characterized by the fact that the ribbon (2) is transversally fixed near the upper sealing (12), in order to optimise the reclosing of the container.
