Description
Stream former for the circulation of cold/warm water during summer/winter in fish fanning with net bags.
This invention relates to an apparatus, which preferably is usable for fish breeding by means of string bags, and which is intended to pump up water of a watercourse from a low level to a higher level, at which the string bag intended for fish breeding is positioned, preferably to a level just below the waterline, whereby relatively warm water in winter can be pumped up to the area just below the waterline, and relatively cold water in summer can be pumped to the mentioned area.
When working with fish breeding, it has appeared to be effective to bring about such a circulation from a low level to a higher level. However, the equipment which up to now has been found in the market within this field has not had desired efficiency and has therefore not been used very much.
This invention intends to eliminate the problems with known technique and to provide an apparatus which is very effective for its purpose and besides that is harmless to the environment. This apparatus, which is of the kind mentioned by way of introduction, is characterized by the fact that it comprises a combination of the following features: - The apparatus comprises an electrically driven motor, which is stationarily arranged above the waterline, and which is intended via an essentially vertical shaft, journalled freely from oil, to drive a device, which is positioned below the waterline at a relatively large distance from this one for pumping up water;
- The device is intended to be positioned at a lower part of an essentially vertically extending pipe, which is open at both of its ends, and through which the water, pumped up. is intended to stream:
- The pipe is designed in that way at its upper end that the water stream through the mentioned pipe end can be controlled so that it is directed towards the string bag intended for fish breeding. The invention shall be described more closely with reference to the accompanying drawing, where fig. 1 shows a side view of the new apparatus, and fig. 2 shows a view of the apparatus according to fig. 1 , seen in the direction of the arrows II-II.
The apparatus according to the invention comprises an electrically driven motor 1. which via an essentially vertically arranged shaft 2 is intended to drive a pump means 3 in the form of a propeller. The electric motor 1 is intended to be stationarily positioned above the waterline. According to the invention the electric motor is firmly suspended on an essentially vertically arranged strut 5, which in its turn is fastened to a bridge 6. The propeller 3, which is intended to be positioned below the waterline 4 and at a relatively large
distance from this one, is arranged at the very bottom of the propeller shaft 2 and is rotatably arranged at the lower part of an essentially vertically extending pipe 7, through which the water, pumped up, is intended to stream. For environmental reasons the propeller shaft 2 is journalled freely from oil in an upper 8 and a lower 9 bushing. The lower bushing 9 is arranged inside the pipe 7, whereas the upper bushing 8 is arranged outside the pipe 7.
The upper part of the pipe 7 has a pipe bend 10, which is arranged in that way that it is directed towards a string bag 11, intended for fish breeding, which bag is positioned beside the apparatus according to the invention. Thus, the propeller shaft 2 goes through the pipe bend 10 and according to this embodiment this passage is made just below the upper bushing 8 of the propeller shaft 2.
In the upper, outer part of the pipe bend 10 is according to the invention a valve 12 arranged, which functions as an upper baffle for the waterstream through the pipebend 10. The valve 12 is in its lower part articulately connected with the pipebend 10 and is intended to be regulated by means of a bar 13, arranged on the strut 5, in an opening or closing direction. The bar 13 is at its lower end articulately connected with the upper part of the valve 12 and is slidably arranged in a bushing 14, arranged on the strut 5. By means of the valve 12 the waterstream, which is pumped out through the pipebend 10. can be directed towards the string bag 11, intended for the fish breeding, in a desired way.
The new apparatus allows the water to be pumped up through the pipe 4 and out through the pipebend 10 towards the string bag 11. Due to the suction effect of the propeller 3. there arises an effective circulation of the water through the string bag 11. Thus, the apparatus according to the invention can be described as a stream creator.
Under certain circumstances it can be necessary to pump up water from a lower level than the normal one. This can for instance be the case during hard winters when there is a need of warmer, relatively seen, water in order to keep the string bag. intended for fish breeding, icefree. In such cases the existing pipe according to the invention can be extended at its bottom part with an extension pipe 15 which in a simple way can be pushed on the outside of the upper pipe 7.
The invention is of course not limited to the shown and mentioned embodiment but can be modified within the scope of the following claims.
