Subsequent hereto, a lower cover web 22, forming the lower cover sheet 9, is placed onto the formed bottom web. Prior to being placed on the bottom web, the lower cover web 22 is slit at three points to form the longitudinal slits 11 thereof. Simultaneously or immediately after the lower cover web 22 is brought into abutment with the bottom web, an upper cover web 23 is brought into abutment with the lower cover web 22.
  • the three webs 19, 22, 23 are jointly passed into a sealing station, in which the bottom web 19 is sealed to the lower cover web 22, the cover web being sealed to the lower cover web 22 at the same time, for simultaneous formation of the circumferential seals 10,17 on the three adjacent packages.

Abstract

Emballage comprenant une base (1) et une feuille de couverture inférieure souple (9), en matière plastique, soudée à la base (1), le long du bord (8) de cette dernière par l'intermédiaire d'une ligne de soudage périphérique (10). Cette feuille de couverture inférieure (9) est pourvue d'une ouverture transversale (11) en forme de fente, permettant d'accéder à l'intérieur de l'emballage. Cette ouverture (11) divise la feuille de couverture (9) en parties de couverture principale et secondaire (12, 13). L'ouverture est en outre recouverte par une feuille de couverture supérieure (15) en matière plastique, s'étendant à chevauchement sur les deux parties de couverture (12, 13) de la feuille inférieure (9). La feuille supérieure (15) est soudée à la feuille inférieure (9) le long de lignes de soudage (10) ménagées de chaque côté de l'ouverture en forme de fente (11) et le long de parties marginales opposées entre lesdites lignes de soudage afin de fermer l'emballage. La feuille de couverture supérieure (15) est soudée de manière détachable au moins à la partie de couverture principale de la feuille inférieure (9), et est pourvue d'un élément de préhension (16) dans la partie qui chevauche cette dernière.
