Abstract

The device according to the present invention consists of transparent plastic material, like polyethylene or other suitable, having incorporated a plurality of layers of dioptric surfaces obtained with vacuoles (2) filled with air or other gas or transparent liquids with a high refraction index, so as to form air or fluid insulation chambers, through structure (1), against the leaking of the heat stored, due to the transparency, from the sunbeams (R) and, at the same time, to form a layer of sunbeam concentrators, consisting of said dioptric surfaces, onto proximal and/or distal focuses (F), according to the curving of the incorporated dioptric surfaces.

Description

"A DEVICE WITH DIOPTRIC SURFACE LAYERS, FOR THE PROTECTION AND SOLAR CONCENTRATION IN HOTHOUSES, CULTIVATIONS AND SIMILAR"
The present invention concerns a device comprising layers of a plurality of dioptric surfaces, for the application in hothouses of any kind, cultivations and similar, for protection against atmospheric agents and for the solar concentration.
It is well known that at present hothouses and cultivations of vegetables, vine, fruit and others are protected against atmospheric agents by means of great transparent plastic tarpaulins which, moreover, determine a low thermic insulation and furthermore do not influence the direction of the sunbeams, because they have plane and parallel surfaces.
It is the aim of the present invention to realize a device that may be applied in covering panels and/or tarpaulins to said hothouses or cultivations, provided with a high thermic insulation coefficient, transparent to the sunbeams and that may concentrate said beams onto proximal and/or distal focuses, according to the needs of the cultivations.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, consisting of a structure of a transparent plastic material , like polyethylene or other suitable, having incorporated a plurality of dioptric surfaces ' layers realized with vacuoles filled with air or other gas or transparent liquids with a high refraction index, so as to form air or fluid chambers for the insulation, through the structure, against the leaking of the heat stored, due to the transparency, from the sunbeams and, at the same time, consisting of said dioptric surfaces with proximal and/or distal focuses according to the curving of the incorporated dioptric surfaces.
The advantages of the device according to the present invention are many and considerable:
- the device is realized with tarpaulins and/or panels that may close in hothouses and/or cover cultivations;
- the presence of the vacuoles incorporated in the structure of transparent plastic material , determines a considerable insulation against thermic leakings from the protected ambients;
- the possible different shape of said vacuoles, and therefore of the dioptric surfaces, allows to vary the focus distance of the falling-in sunbeams , concentrating the same nearby - as for vine and other cultivations - or to the soil, for specific applications . The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings, in which some embodiments are shown.
Figure 1 shows a vertical section of a device with a plurality of spherical dioptric layers for the protection and solar concentration in hothouses, cultivations and similar.
Figures 2 and 3 show two variants of the device with vacuoles having respectively a plane-convex shape and a stratified shape for obtaining different focus distances.
Figures 4 and 5 show an axonometric view of a covering panel for cultivations, with dioptric surface layers respectively alone and placed onto a vine cultivation.
Figure 6 shows the application with a plurality of panels, shown in figure 4, for the realization of a hothouse s.
The enclosed figures show a device with a plurality of dioptric surface layers for the protection and solar concentration in hothouses, cultivations and similar, consisting of: - a structure 1 of polyethylene or other transparent, plastic material;
- a plurality of vacuoles 2, incorporated in said structure 1, one nearby the other so as to cover the whole surface, forming a plurality of dioptric surfaces between the air outside, the material of the upper part of said structure 1, the air or other fluid contained inside, the material in the lower part of the structure and the air below, so as to concentrate the parallel sunbeams R onto focuses F turned towards the cultivations;
- a perimetral structure 3 of the covering panels for the support of the layers of transparent material with the incorporated vacuoles 2, provided with means 4, nearby the edges, for the application onto studs M, for the protection of the cultivations, and/or onto the structure of hothouses S.
In possible variants of the present invention shown in figures 2 and 3, the presence of vacuoles having a plane-convex shape 5 and with stratified lenses 6 is provided for increasing the focal distance of the parallel sunbeam concentration R onto the cultivation plants or also onto the soil; due to the presence of the further layers 7, said vacuoles have a considerable focal distance F, which otherwise can also be obtained by means of vacuoles with too large radius which would make said structure 1 unusable due to their thickness.
