Abstract

The invention concerns a coal cassette comprising a cover part (1), casing part (2), bottom part (3), intermediate plate (13), its perforation (9), braces and air ducts (8), protective paper (10), coal layers (6), adjustable feet (4) and (5), a binder (7) and a suction hole (12) and suction duct (11), bringing about a draught upwards in the coals (6), which again passes through the holes in air ducts (8), resulting in a steady glow. The coal cassette is easy and clean to handle, lighting is with a match or such with the aid of a lighting agent functioning as binder for protective paper (10) or coals (6). The coal cassette has adjustable feet (4) and (5) of which there are no less than (3) each and allowing the coal cassette to be used on stone, for example.

Description

COAL CASSETTE
The invention concerns a coal cassette comprising a cover part, a casing part, a bottom part and adjustable feet, all of them heat-resistant, as well as coals and a lighting agent.
The invention relates in particular to grilling, but it is also applicable to other needs in cooking and heating food.
According to the conventional method, grilling takes place as follows: a fuel, such as coal, is poured into the grill, the coals are ignited after absorption of the lighter fluid and the coals are burnt to embers, whereupon cooking proper is performed.
However, the above-mentioned conventional method is cumbersome and slow. To be quick and clean, grilling would clearly require a ready-to-use coal cassette, but no suitable cassettes have been available. The purpose of this invention is to bring about a coal cassette of a new kind, which allows quick and clean grilling, where no outside lighting agents are required and which gives uniform grilling embers from the start.
Characteristic features of the coal cassette according to the invention are defined in the appended claims.
The invention makes it possible to speed up and facilitate the cumbersome and slow handling of lighting agents and fuels which is a bottleneck in the conventional method, it allows bringing about prompt and uniform embers and elimination of harmful dust and soot at the charging state, because the coals are packed into a fire-resistant package wherein air is distributed evenly into the embers and the lighting agent is ready for use and which has heightadjustable feet, for example, for grilling on concrece or stone, and wherein the lowest coal layer contains coal of a finer structure which contributes towards easy lighting. Other advantages and ways of performance of the invention appear from the embodiment presented in the following. The invention is described in the following by referring to the appended Figure showing a coal cassette in accordance with the invention. The main components of the cassette are: cover part (1) , casing part (2) , bottom part (3) , adjustable feet (4) and (5) , radial braces and air ducts (8) in intermediate plate (13) , suction ducts (11) and suction hole (12) in bottom part (3) .
An intermediate plate (13) is placed in the vessel formed by casing part (2) and bottom part (3) , which plate also has a perforation (9) in the flat part, besides the holes in the braces and air ducts (8) . A protective paper (10) is used as lighter and to prevent exit of coal dust between intermediate plate (3) and coal layers (6) , and also on top of the uppermost coal layer (6) . Coal layers (6) are kept together and they are lighted with the aid of binder (7) which is an elastic, adhering, odourless and non-toxic lighter agent. Adjustable feet (4) and (5) , of which there are at least three each, are located in bottom part (3) . The adjustable feet (4) and (5) are made by bending the die-cut parts of bottom part (3) . Suction hole (12) and suction ducts (11) bring about a draught in coals (6) upwards from below assisted by holes (9) in the braces and air ducts (8) and in the intermediate plate (13) . In this way steady burning is also achieved. In the foregoing, the coal cassette according to the invention is described only by referring to an application by way of example, wherein even essential changes can be made within the scope of protection of the appended claims.
