Abstract

L'invention concerne spécifiquement un procédé simplifié et amélioré permettant de produire une pompe à vide du type à volute, permettant l'obtention de vides inférieur à un torr, cela grâce au montage d'au moins un joint à vide orbital dynamique (32) entre les deux moitiés de volute (22 et 23), sur le diamètre extérieur des spirales de volute, pour empêcher la pénétration du gaz atmosphérique. Avant cette invention, pour obtenir des vides inférieurs à un torr avec une pompe à volute, il était nécessaire soit de fermer hermétiquement les deux moitiés de volute avec un soufflet métallique (4) de grand diamètre, dans lequel pouvait se faire le mouvement orbital requis, soit de placer la ou les plaquette(s) de volute à mouvement orbital et les composants qui transforment le mouvement d'entraînement rotatif en mouvement orbital requis à l'intérieur de l'espace sous vide avec un joint à vide dynamique (14), sur l'arbre d'entraînement rotatif (17). Ces deux conceptions étaient d'une réalisation coûteuse, et ainsi la technologique faisant appel à des volutes, dans l'industrie du vide, était limitée à des applications spéciales. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de produire une pompe à vide du type à volute (Fig. 16) avec un joint à vide orbital dynamique, qui soit également économique, permettant d'obtenir des vides inférieurs à 0,01 torr.
