Abstract

The support cushion for stabilising the back, stomach and side position of adults and small children (nurslings) has two foam wedge sections (1) with a cover (5) and a base mat (2) secured to each wedge section (1) which, when overlapped, cause the two wedge sections (1) to be secured apart by the weight of the body. The base mat (2) takes the form of a sheet secured to the wedge section (1) at a distance above the latter's bottom (UK (4)) and forms an oblique and/or bowed mat strip (2a) to increase the securing tension on the body.
