Description

COMPOSITIONS COSMETIQUES A BASE D'EAUX THERMALES ET LEUR PROCEDE DE PREPARATIONCOSMETIC COMPOSITIONS BASED ON THERMAL WATERS AND THEIR PREPARATION METHOD
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition based on thermal water and its manufacturing process. The field of the invention relates to hydrotherapy and all external treatments based on thermal waters and derived products.
In the state of the prior art, it is known that the treatments carried out in spa treatment must be carried out on the spot, and use exclusively thermal water, at the outlet of the griffin. Therefore, thermal water applications are carried out in a wide variety of forms: bath, shower, thread jet, etc., depending on the case to be treated. In all cases, these treatments are carried out under a continuous flow of thermal water.
There is a special care technique, which uses the application of sludge. This process consists in covering all or part of a limb or the body with a pasty product prepared from thermal water. Various additives are used: clays, algae and various mucilages. This pasty product keeps thermal water in contact with the skin, without continuous flow, for an extended time. It can also serve as a vehicle for other substances capable of adding their own effect to that of thermal water.
Cette dilution peut aller de l2-15 % à 50 % selon les cas.- it departs widely from the basic concept linked to the exclusive use of thermal water, because the proportion of water is far from the maximum of 100%, due to its dilution by additives with a technical role, such as l 'clay. This dilution can range from 12-15% to 50% depending on the case.
- il soulève des problèmes d'hygiène liés à la contamination microbienne des additifs diluants; ce risque est d'autant plus grand que ces additifs sont d'origine naturelle.- it raises hygiene problems linked to microbial contamination of diluent additives; this risk is all the greater since these additives are of natural origin.
It was in these circumstances that the question arose as to whether it was possible to obtain a product allowing the application of thermal water in a form inspired by mud, but avoiding the defects of this product. It is well known that gelling agents can be used to increase the viscosity of water and make it possible to obtain a paste adhering to the surface of the skin.
All gelling agents have been tried, of all kinds and from all origins:
- minérale : argiles, bentonites- mineral: clays, bentonites
- végétale : gomme, mucilage, alginate, pectines, amidons, glucomanoses, galactomanoses- vegetable: gum, mucilage, alginate, pectins, starches, glucomanoses, galactomanoses
All of them pose problems that make their use inappropriate:
- soit parce que la préparation de la pâte imposait des contraintes : durée, agitation, chauffage,- either because the preparation of the dough imposed constraints: duration, agitation, heating,
- soit parce que le produit additif ne permettait pas d'obtenir une pâte aux qualités souhaitées : viscosité, plasticité, absence d'effet collant, et de séchage,- either because the additive product did not make it possible to obtain a paste with the desired qualities: viscosity, plasticity, absence of sticky effect, and of drying,
- soit parce que la dose efficace de l'additif entraînait une dilution de l'eau thermale incompatible avec notre objectif dépassant toujours 1 ou 2 %.- either because the effective dose of the additive led to a dilution of the thermal water incompatible with our objective, always exceeding 1 or 2%.
However, a product made it possible to obtain a satisfactory result against all expectations, because it satisfies all the constraints: - viscous action at a concentration less than or equal to 1%
- propriétés rhéologiques et plastiques parfaites- perfect rheological and plastic properties
- excellentes qualités cosmétiques : gel hyalin incolore, rigide, non collant, facile à éliminer par simple essuyage- excellent cosmetic qualities: colorless, rigid, non-sticky hyaline gel, easy to remove by simple wiping
- propreté microbiologique parfaite - rapidité et simplicité d'utilisation et possibilité de réaliser la préparation sans recourir à un équipement spécialisé.- perfect microbiological cleanliness - speed and simplicity of use and possibility of carrying out the preparation without having to use specialized equipment.
The gelling product which has made it possible to obtain this surprising result is carboxypolymethylene, already used as a thickening and dispersing agent, stabilizing emulsion, but never used as a water gelling agent for topical application in the context of a thermal treatment.
Selon la présente invention, la composition cosmétique se présente sous la forme d'un gel comprenant :This product gives, in this application, the astonishing result of transforming water into rigid crosslinked stπ- ure; in the specific case of the invention, it makes it possible to apply thermal water in a thick layer, when its concentration does not exceed 1%. This unpredictable result opens up the new possibility of making real "masks" or poultices or thermal water wraps with a product made up of at least 99% thermal water. According to the present invention, the cosmetic composition is in the form of a gel comprising:
- 99 % à 99,9 % en poids d'une eau thermale- 99% to 99.9% by weight of thermal water
- 0,1 à 1 % en poids de carboxypolyméthylène - 0 à 1% en poids d'un agent neutralisant.- 0.1 to 1% by weight of carboxypolymethylene - 0 to 1% by weight of a neutralizing agent.
Selon une autre caractéristique de la présente invention, ledit gel comprend :According to another characteristic of the present invention, said gel comprises:
- 99,25 à 99,75 % en poids d'une eau thermale- 99.25 to 99.75% by weight of thermal water
- 0,25 à 0,75 % en poids de carboxypolyméthylène - 0 à 1 % en poids d'un agent neutralisant.- 0.25 to 0.75% by weight of carboxypolymethylene - 0 to 1% by weight of a neutralizing agent.
Selon un mode de réalisation particulier, la composition est additionnée de 0, 1 à 1 % en poids d'un agent neutralisant permettant d'obtenir un gel ayant un pH compris entre 5 et 8.According to a particular embodiment, the composition is added with 0.1 to 1% by weight of a neutralizing agent making it possible to obtain a gel having a pH of between 5 and 8.
Said neutralizing agent is advantageously sodium bicarbonate, and can if necessary be provided by thermal water.
Le carboxypolyméthylène, encore dénommé carboxyvinylpolymère ou carbomère, est un polymère de l'acide acrylique présentant la structure générale :Carboxypolymethylene, also known as carboxyvinylpolymer or carbomer, is a polymer of acrylic acid with the general structure:
