Description

DISPENSER AND ACCESSORIES FOR LIQUID, BUTTERY, CREAMY AND SEMI-DOUGHY PRODUCTS.
This invention relates to a dispenser for liquid, buttery, creamy and semi-doughy 5. products such as seasonings, extrats, sauces, margarines, cream cheeses, mayonnaises, catchups, mustards and confectioneries, besides personal hygiene products such as shaving creams, toothpastes, pharmaceutical and medicinal products, salves and other such, being that the present 10 dispenser acts to the effect of storing the product to be dispensed in its interior and Dosing it out as needed.
The dispenser proposed herein is made up of a lower pumping element connected to a refill tube on the interior where the product to be dispensed is
15. stored, with said refill tube closed at the bottom by a base which has a breather tube.
The pumping element of the dispenser in question can be coupled to a varied range of nozzles or needles with diverse forms and purposes that may or may not 20. have caps.
Below, the dispenser subject to the present patent of invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings listed below in which:
Figure 1 shows it schematically and in cross section 25. showing its inner make-up;
Figures 2, 3, , ,6, and 7 show examples of needle designs that can be employed together with the dispenser dealt with herein; Figure 8 shows a side view of the present dispenser 30. used to hold shaving cream, being that in this
SUBSTITUTE SHEET mode of use, a support for a razor and shaving brush is incorporated, with said view further including a blown-up detail of the base section;
Figure 9 shows another way of using the support shown
5. in the previous figure in which the dispenser's lid is equipped with an annular rib which works as a prop point for the support in itself; and Figure 10 shows the support shown in figure 9 by itself.
In terms of what the above listed 10. figures show, the dispenser and accessories for liquid, buttery, creamy and semi-doughy products subject to the present patent of invention comprises a pumping element 1 to which a refill tube 2 for packing the material (M) to be dispensed is connected by a dovetail or pressure thread, 15. as well as a squeeze ram 3 incorporating a metallic lock ring A that works as a means of blocking its return. being that the aforesaid squeeze ram is displaced in the ' interior of the refill tube 2 through the removal of the material (M); and a lower base 5 also set to the refill 2 by 20. a dovetail or pressure thread.
A varied rangeof needles 6 can be coupled to the pumping element 1 through a connection attached to the pa-ssageway 7, which is protected from the aforesaid pumpimg element 1 , this last incorporating a
25. button 8 directy connected to as suction set 9.
Each of the ends of the refill tube 2 is provided with a discardable sealing membrane 10 that completely protects the contents of said refill tube 2 and which shall be removed at the time of coupling the refill 30. tube 2 to the pumping element 1 as well as to the base 5, since the said refill tube 2 is the only part to be replaced, being that this feature simplifies the maintenance of ideal hygienic conditions besides cutting the costs of purchase and replacement.
Figure 1 allows the setting to be 35. seen between the refill tube 2 and the pumping element 1 and base 5, for which the thread 11 is used.
SUBSTITUTESHEET Now figure 8 allows the setting mode to be seen between the said refill tube 2 and the pumping element 5, whre they are provided with inset facilities 12 and 13 repectively on the refill tube 2 and the pumping
' 5. element 1 and base 5.
Figure 2 shows a cross section of a needle 6 configured in such a manner as to act as a knife, said knife type needle shown by reference number 1A, having threading 15 at one end that is coupled to the 10. corresponding end of the passageway 7, with this needle able to be used when the dispenser dealt with herein is emplowed for packing and applying food products such as mayonnaises, margarines, creamy confections, cream cheeses and other such.
Figure 3 shows a cross section 15. of another modality of needle configured in such a manner as to act as an application nozzle, said application nozzle type needle specifically shown by reference , number 16, having, as in the knife type needle 1A, threading 15 at one end that is coupled the same way to the corresponding end of 20. the passageway 7, and the aforesaid application nozzle type needle 16 incorporates its own cap 17 that seals off its inner passageway.
Figure A shows a variation of the knife type needle 1A, with said variation shown by reference
25. number 18 demonstrating the introduction of an angulation in its basic structure, incidentally simplifying the application of the product under specific conditions.
Figure 5 shows a variation of the application nozzle type needle 16, with said variation shown 30. by reference number 19 demonstrating the introduction of an • angulation in its basic structure.
Figure 6 shows another modality of needle configured in such a manner as to act as a spoon type needle shown by reference number 20, having threading
35. 15 at one end used for allowing its coupling to the passageway 7, with the aforesaid spoon type needle 20 being
SUBSTITUTE SHEET particulary practical for the act of serving products in doses such as baby food and similar products.
Figure 7 shows another modality of needle configured in such a manner as to act as a spatula, 5. said spatula type needle shown by reference number 21 , having threading 15 at one end just as in the others besides being able to incorporate its own cap 22.
Figure 8 and 9 represent a particular application of the dispenser for use as an applier
10. facility for shaving cream, being that this application defines as a requirement the employment and provision of a support or supports used for holding a razor and shaving brush as outlined in figure 8.
The supports shown by reference
15. number 23 can be incorporated directly to the lid 2A which seals off and protects the pumping element 1 or made in such a manner that it can be removed (figure 9), being that in this variation, an annular rib 25 is produced on the lid 2A and works as a prop point for the ring 26, which is a
20. part of the make-up of the support 23' shown in figure 10.
One way or another, the support 23 and 23' is defined by a pair of outshoots 27 integrated with respective hooks 28 that are used to hold a razor and shaving brush.
25. As shown in figures 1, 8 and 9, the base 5 shows the breather tube 29 used for allowing the entry of air in the region of the refill tube 2 below the squeeze ram 3, thus aiding the displacement of the same at the same rate the packed material M above said squeeze ,ram
30. is removed; but particularly in that covered in figured 8, the direction can be observed of air entry to the refill tube through the breather tube 29 of the base 5 - Arrow G, the direction of the squeeze ram 3 on the inside of the refill tube 2 - Arrow B, and the direction of pressing the
35. button 8 of the pumping element 1 - Arrow A.
The refill tub 2, in its upper end part, incorporates an inner annular rim 30 in which an annular groove 31 is produced, said inner annular rim 30 acting to the effect of blocking the removal of the squeeze ram 3 when material M is used up, thus blocking reloading the 5. refill tube 2 since the aforesaid squeeze ram 3 cannot be displaced in a direction opposite to that shown by Arrow B, keeping in mind the metallic lock ring A.
Now the annular groove 31 works as a coupling point for the annular protrusion 32 produced
10. on the lower end of the pumping element 1, thus blocking, when the refill tube 2 is coupled to the aforesaid pumping element 1 and this last is working, the dislocation of part of material M to the thread 11 or any other setting facility that is incidentally adopted.
15. Such as described above, the instruments to be held by the support 23 in any of its forms of use can vary depending on what the present dispenser is to be used for, with the example fitting of said dispenser being employed for packing and dispensing in an ordered
20. manner another kind of creamy product such as toothpaste, being that in this case, said instruments, namely shaving brushes and razors, will be toothbrushes instead.
It should be pointed out that, regardless of having been amply described and shown, the
2 . dispenser and accessories for liquid, buttery, creamy and semi-doughy products can be subject to changes of an esthetic, dimensional or standard of finishing or shape nature without thereby falling outside the scope of protection intended by the present patent of invention. In the same manner, the
30. development of other variations of needles not covered in the examples shown shall be considered implicit in the coverage of this scope.
