  • the pommel 35 acts on a sensor 45 enclosed within the container 51 and the counterblock 53, with a support 52 provided with a diaphragm 54 movable on springs 55 which are protected by the cover 56; all this being lodged in the seat 43 inside the handle 27, electric wires 48, 48' passing through cavities 49 in the handle and through the thin plate 30, reaching the telecontrols 50 - which are located in preferred seats on said thin plate 30 - and acting on receivers implemented for these purposes.

  • the fencing equipments can be realized with metallized semiconductive fabric provided with circuits and assisted by independent feeding sources, for the above described and illustrated purposes.
  • the solutions can be applied for realizing manikins having equipments according to Fig. 9 integrated with CID sensors, and telecontrols, which are suited for simulations and training exercises, during which weapons according to Figs. 1 to 7 are used, the latter being provided with remote control devices applied for the above purposes.
  • the feeding of electric power to said telecontrols which are incorporated in the above described fencing weapons can also be obtained by exploiting the phenomenon of piezoelectricity, i.e. taking advantage of the electric properties of anisotropic crystals, for example quartz, which get polarized under mechanical stresses and elastic deformations, producing direct effects: production of electric charges due to mechanical actions corresponding to the movement of the blades 2 and of the tang 6 , according to what has been described and shown above.

Abstract

Matériel et arme d'escrime, l'arme étant du type classique ou non, et comportant une lame (2, 2a, 2b) dont l'extrémité éloignée de la pointe (8) coopère avec des dispositifs détecteurs (45, 66) dont les signaux amplifiés servent à détecteur les touches valables. Ainsi, il s'avère inutile de modifier la lame (2, 2a, 2b) de quelque manière que ce soit lorsqu'il s'agit d''électrifier' l'arme, et la section transversale de la lame demeure intacte car aucune rainure n'est ménagée dans la lame en vue d'y accueillir des fils électriques. Dans le mode préféré de réalisation, les détecteurs transmettent leurs signaux à des télécommandes (50) prévues sur l'arme, et ces dernières transmettent leur signaux à des récepteurs. Par conséquent, toute liaison électrique entre l'escrimeur et la piste ou les dispositifs de signalisation des touches est superflue.
