Abstract

The nursery frame has been designed to become a complete system for todays infant, it can be taken apart and stored away then retrieved and assembled with ease. From birth of the child it serves to carry a suspended cot (26) that can be easily rocked. Later it can be used to carry a suspended seat that will also serve as a swing (27). The next function will be to suspend the bouncer harness (28). Changeover from one application to another takes only a few seconds so that they can be altered many times daily with ease. The frame is easily moved around the home or garden to wherever it is needed and offers a facility to fit a protective parasol (9) and optional drive and chime unit.

Description

A MULTI PURPOSE CHILD NURSERY FRAME, ***********************************
SPECIFICATION.
This invention relates to a childrens multi purpose nursery frame.
There are various well known items of nursery equipment such as an infant swing, a cot mounting frame, a relaxing chair and a baby bouncer, plus protective parasols
This frame is especially designed to lend itself to suspend and support from the upper secondary and upper mainframes, equipment as listed above.
Eliminating the need for numerous bulky and expensive items of nursery equipment that will remain idle for most of the time.
The frame is simple by design, can easily be assembled and dismantled.
According to the present invention there is provided a multi purpose child nursery frame, comprising a upper secondary frame and upper mainframe, positioned centrally above and releasably connected to a base frame.
The swan neck configuration of the frame being valuable to the design for its natural spring qualities.
The size of base and its height are critical to the usefulness of this frame.
The top part of upper mainframe and its components known as upper secondary frame and suspension loops all shown in fig 1 as item 3, item 4, & block item 5, are critical to the usefulness of this frame.
Item's 7 / 8 / 9 shown fig 1 are important to the usefulness of this frame having built in provisions for attaching a drive unit to turn the parasol and play a lullaby.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which :-
Figure 1 shows in perspective the base, with upper mainframe in place and all sub components.
Figure's 2/3/4 & 5 illustrates the handwheel, the swing suspension loops, chair, cot and bouncer suspension loops, and upper frame tube finisher respectively.
Figure 6 illustrates the upper section of locking assembly to be securely welded into item 3, fig 1. Figure 7 illustrates the lower or base section of locking assembley part item 21 fig 1.
Figure 8 shows the cot in suspension from the frame on it's respective locating points.
Figure 9 shows the relaxer chair in it's upright position in suspension from the frame, and on it's respective locating points, this operation can be performed also to the left or right as veiwed from front of frame.
Figure 10 shows the chair in suspension from the frame as a baby swing, and on it's respective locating points.
Figure 11 shows the baby bouncer in suspension from the frame on it's respective locating point, with alternative points as shown at item 11 & 17.
Referring to drawing 1 / 6 the frame comprises a base 1 and an upper mainframe 3 and is releasably secured by means of components shown in fig 6 & fig 7. drg 2/7.
In order to remove upper mainframe from base the handwheel item 6 is released and frame lifted to part sliding joint. Assembley is the reverse order of above.
The carrycot, easy chair and swing are all suspended from the frame by four fully adjustable straps which are interchangeable and have snap on type clips for ease of fixing and removal to both the frame and accesories which all use the same suspension loops as the upper mainframe assembley.
