BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE DEVICE
Explaining the present invention in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, it will be as follows.
FIG.l shows a perspective view of a combination
power wrench and power spanner which is partly seen through and cut out.
In the drawing, a driving gear 4 of a forcing block 3 which is made to be pressed and rotated by a , lever handle 1 with a link 2 and a driven gear 4 ' of a rotary block 5 are coupled so as to be meshed and simultaneously cooperatively moved to a recess A' of a base plate A formed in same shape to top and bottom. As shown in FIG.2. FIG.3. FIG.4 and FIG.5, a rotary gear 8 perforated with hexagonal opening 7 and two pawls 9.9' are coupled to be contacted at a center of recess 6 of the rotary block 5.
Leaf springs 9a,9'a and stopping piece 9b,9'b are respectively fixed to be crossed to each of two pawls 9,9', and pawl shafts 9c,9'c are formed respectively at bottom whereby rotatably inserted to pawl shate holes 9d,9'd so as to be contacted to the rotary gear 8 from both sides.
A stepped portion 11 is formed to a rear portion of shortened spanner 10 of FIG.7 so as to be mounted to and released from an inserting opening 12 at front end of the rotary block 5 formed with stepped portion 11'.
A pivot shaft 13 in FIG.8-1 and FIG.8-2 is made such that upper and lower friotional portions 15, 15' are respectively formed at top and bottom of a hexagonal bar 14, and an insert blocking plate 16 is formed at top of the upper frictional portion 15, and a screw portion 17 is formed at bottom of the lower frictional portion 15 so as to be tightened by a nut 18 from exterior of the base plate A.
It is desirable that oilless bearing or ball bearing or needle bearing as used for decreasing the
frictional resistance in accordance with the rotation to the upper and lower frictional portions 15, 15'. A box wrench adapter 20 of FIG.9 is inserted into a rectangular hole 19 pierced through in top and bottom direction at center of the pivot shaft 13 so as to be protruded with moving to top and bottom direction in response to the requirement as shown in FIG.10-1, and therefore it is made to be protruded with moving to top and bottom as shown in FIG.10-2. In FIG.l, a fixing means 23 formed with a holding recess 21, a hooking groove 22 and a fixing lever 23' is fixed to the recess A of near and of the base plate A so as to be pivotable around a pivot pin 24, and a hooking pin 25 is fixed to a recess 1' of rear end of the lever handle 1.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
Now, explaining an operation and effect of the present invention in more detail, it will be as follows.
When the lever handle 1 is pressed to a direction of arrow 26, it is transfereed by a strong force by an opperation of the lever handle 1 with a link 2 whereby a rotary block 5 is rotated to a direction of arrow 27 through a driving gear 4 and a driven gear 4' meshed one another, so that it can be tightened or released by rotating powerfully a spanner 10 or a not provided at a box wrench socket which is not shown. at this moment, the pawl 9, 9' makdes the rotary gear 8 to rotate to a direction of arrow 27 as shown in FIG.11-1 as the stopping piece 9b,9'b is hooked to a rotary gear, and when the lever handle 1 is pulled up
to an opposite direction, the rotary block 5 becomes to rotate to a direction of arrow 27 which is an opposite direction of arrow 27'.
Then, the pawl 9, 9' makes the stopping piece 9b, 9'b of the pawl 9, 9' to rotate to a direction of arrow 28 as shown in FIG.11-2 and the spring 9a, 9 'a rotates to a direction of arrow 28' whereby makes the roatry gear 8 to be stopped while passing over and over the gear 8' so that the rotary block is returned to an original state.
Next, as the lever handle 1 is continuously pressed down and pulled up, the rotary gear 8 is repeatedly- rotated.
A box wrench adapter 20 is movably inserted toward up and down into a rectangular hole 19 pierced through a center of the pivot shaft 13 coupled by inserting into a hexagonal hole 7 of the rotary gear 8, so that it is made to be simple and compact in its structure and excellent in coupling characteristic. And, since it is a structure that the box wrench adapter 20 is made to be protruded by moving to up and down in response to the requirement, an obstruction on working due to the protruded box wrench adapter 20 can be prevented in a time of nut tightening or releasing work.
In case of requiring a powerful force for the rotation of nut, the fixing means 23 maked the hooking pin 25 of the lever handle 1 to be abutted to the holding recess 21 and making the lever handle 1 to be easily pulled up to an opposite direction of arrow 26 so that the repeating pressing down operation can be essily carried out.
Further, in case when the nut can be essily
rotated without powerful force, the fixing lever 23' is rotated to a direction of arrow 23" and the hooking pin 25 of the lever handle 1 is inserted into a hooking groove 22 whereby the lever handle 1 and the bass plate A are fixed to be integral so that rapid operation can be carried out as general ratchet wrench.
Thus, in accordance with this invention, since it is a structure making the nut to be rotated by utilizing a powerful pressing force applied to the forcing block 3 of a vice grip plier, a combination power wrench and power spanner which is simple in structure and convenient in work can be manufactured.
