Detailed description of the preferred embodiments
Refering to the embodiment shown in Figures 1-3, the container carrier device comprises a first body 1 having a quick attachment means 4, 5, 7 to be attached to the apparel of a user, for example, to the belt or waist band of the trousers of a user, or to a handbag or rucksack.
The quick attachment means comprises a closable hook 4 having a first free end 66 and a closing portion 5 having a second free end 68. The closing portion 5, which is connected to the assembly by a hinged member and an internal spring (not shown in the drawings), is also provided with a tongue 7. Thus, the quick attachment means opens when the user presses tongue 7 with his finger (Figure 2), and closes automatically due to the action of the internal spring, when the pressure is interrupted. The first body 1 is also provided with a guide rail
2 for fitment in a groove 27 formed in a second body 26 which comprises a container destined, for example, for receiving personal objects of the user.
Corresponding ends of guide rail 2 and groove 27 comprise, respectively, a protuberance 3 and a recess 28 which cooperate with each other to limit the course of the guide rail 2 within the groove 27. Figure 3 shows in greater detail the protuberance 3 on the guide rail 2 and the recess 28 formed in the groove 27. Figure 4 shows, in cross-section, a variety of pos¬ sible shapes for the guide rail 2 and groove 27.
Still referring to Figures 1 and 2, the first body 1 incorporates a container with the form of an elongated cavity 10 provided with a lid 11 and serving to contain, for example, personal data of the user, such as name, address, telephone, etc. The first body further comprises a chain portion 8 and a ring 9 to hold one or more keys.
Figures 14a and 14b show another embodiment of the container carrier device, where the guide rail is disposed on the second body 26 which comprises a container, the second body 26 being formed with a slot 57 which cooperates with a rib (not shown) provided on the first body 58.
Figure 15 shows yet another embodiment of the con¬ tainer carrier assembly. As it can be seen, the assembly has a cilindrical shape and the attachment between the first and second bodies is achieved by male and female screws 64, 65 provided at corresponding ends thereof.
Figures 5 to 7 show three different embodiments of the object carrier device, according to the present invention. Figure 5 shows an object carrier device 1 comprising a guide rail 2 for fitting in a corresponding groove provided on an object, for example a lighter (Figure 9c). As can be seen, the carrier device 1 further comprises a quick attach¬ ment means which has the form of a closable hook 12. In the region defined by the opening of the hook, there is a closing portion or pin 13 which is biased by an internal spring (not shown), the pin 13 being provided with an external knob 14 so that the pin can be manually forced downwardly against the force of the spring, thus opening the attachment means.
