Abstract

A PLASMA JET SPARK PLUG - THUNDER III for Internal Combustion Engines has a spark plug with a simple (1-2) or double (1-2, 1-3) sliding spark system and a low voltage electrode (4) with shell's (5) shape. The jet system is created by spreading, outside this small initial chamber (6), the plasma of sparks, of free type (1-2-,4-5), between the high voltage electrode (1) and the shell (4-5) and other sliding discharges (1-2, 1-3) after very fast combustion of the lean air/fuel mixture and the increase of high pressure. This plasma is flowing into a great main combustion chamber (7) with high velocity penetrating high volume of this fresh lean air/fuel mixture causing rapid ignition and complete combustion and very fast increase of pressure.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. FIELD OF THE INVENTION
5 The present invention relates to the spark plug systems of the Internal Combustion Engines, especially for the rotary engine in which the spark plug must be hidden in the engine's wall.
2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
10 A typical 2 or 4 stroke engine and a rotary engine is equipped with a spark plug in which ignition processes are arranged through small surfaces and with natural systems of expansions of flames with low speeds. Those systems can not achieve combustion of the lean air/fuel mixtures. The jet
15 system with the initial chamber inside an insulator are with small volumes and not effective because of cooling by walls and electrodes and with high values of power and initial discharge voltage. Jet system of this type are working with very long time.

20 SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
This invention a PLASMA JET SPARK PLUG - THUNDER III is an effort to improve combustion efficiency, to lower fuel consump¬ tion and toxic emission by increasing ignition volume. Instead of a small surface of a spark there are two types of of simultaneously created sparks- simple or double sliding sparks with very great surfaces and a free spark between the high voltage and the low voltage electrodes inside the small initial chamber. After the creation of plasmas along these great surfaces they are spread out after increasing high pressure of burned the lean air/fuel mixture inside this small initial chamber. This plasma with flames is flowing into the great main combustion chamber with high speed penetrating the fresh air/fuel mixture causing very fast ignition in the high volume and complete combustion of this lean air/fuel mixture with low toxic emissions. The increase of pressure in the main combustion chamber is very rapid too. Those factors are causing high efficiency of the engines and inreasing cars' economy.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
FIG.l is a sketch and advantages of the PLASMA JET SPARK PLUG - THUNDER III as a system of the volume ignition and combustion processes inside the small and the main combustion chambers. In this figure numbers estimates: 1- a high voltage electrode
2. a low voltage electrode connected to a spark plug's body
3. A low voltage electrode located inside a lower insulation part
4. a low voltage electrode connected to the shell 5. a shell
6. a small initial combustion chamber 7. a main great combustion chamber
8. a wall of engine.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION FIG.l shows in schematic form a PLASMA JET SPARK PLUG - THUNDER III for the rapid complete combustion processes of the lean air/fuel mixture. After the application of high voltage into a high voltage electrode - 1 are arranged simultaneously:
- two sliding discharges between the high voltage electrode -1 and low voltage electrodes - 2 and - 3
- the free spark between the high voltage electrode - 1 and a low voltage electrode - 4 located at a shell - 5.
After the creation of plasma and very rapid ignition and combustion the air/fuel mixture and high pressure inside the small combustion chamber - 6 plasma with flames is flowing out into a main combustion cha. oer - 7 with high speed. Plasma having great kinetic energy is penetrating the fresh air/fuel mixture with great volume causing rapid ignition, combustion and increase of pressure in this chamber - 7.
