Abstract

A holder for flat objects which are preferably exhibited in a display cassette has a flat support plate (14, 28, 36) and holding means shaped at the periphery of the support plate in order to hold the object to be displayed. The holding means (16, 17; 38, 39, 40) have at least a holding claw (16; 17, 44; 45) resilient in a direction parallel to the plane of the support plate (14, 28, 36). Also disclosed is a display cassette for falt objects that can be in particular used as a picture frame insert and having a flat back wall (2) provided with a central trough-shaped recess (7) arranged so that it is demarcated on all sides by a border (8). A transparent plate (3) that lies flat on the border (8) forms with the trough-shaped recess (7) a closed container. At least one holder (5) for a flat object can be mounted on the bottom (11) of the cassette by means of fastening means (21, 24, 29, 37). The front side of the border (8) is framed by a flush demarcation strip (9).
