Abstract

The Demonstration Control System (115) provides the ability to record, annotate, and playback the graphic display generated by an application (111) in a preemptive multitasking, client-server environment. The record and playback modes of the DCS (115) are designed to permit the user to take advantage of the benefits of a client-server environment -- networking capabilities, different playback environments and multitasking at record time and at playback. The playback mode operates without the presence of the application (111). However, when implemented in conjunction with an application (111), the DCS (115) can be used as a debugging aid by performing automated regression testing on the application (111).
