Abstract
Dispositif (10) collecteur et contrôleur de gaz devant s'utiliser au fond de la mer à proximité de l'entrée d'un trou de forage descendant que l'on perce à partir du fond de la mer à l'aide d'une tige. Le dispositif fonctionne conjointement avec une plaque de base permanente (11) placée sur le fond de la mer, destinée à guider une tige de forage rotative, et dotée de montants de guidage (12) et de câbles de guidage (13) s'étendant de la surface jusqu'auxdits montants de guidage (12) et servant à guider le déplacement du matériel entre une installation de surface telle qu'une plate-forme semisubmersible, et ladite plaque de base (11). Ledit dispositif (10) comporte: un caisson (14) collecteur de gaz ouvert vers le bas et devant se placer au-dessus de l'entrée du sondage pour recueillir les gaz qui pourraient sortir du sondage; un trou (15) ménagé dans le caisson (14) pour permettre à une tige de forage de descendre à travers le caisson; un cadre de montage (16) portant le caisson (14) et pouvant se monter sur les montants de guidage (12) de la plaque de base pour positionner le caisson (14) au-dessus du sondage; un tube de sortie (18) prévu sur le caisson (14) et agencé pour éloigner latéralement du sondage les éventuels gaz recueillis dans le caisson (14); ainsi qu'un dispositif détecteur de gaz (19, 39) télécommandé électriquement et destiné à contrôler la quantité de gaz recueillie par le caisson (14) au cours du forage. Le gaz passe au tube de sortie (18) sans être influencé par la tige de forage tournante.
