Abstract

The invention relates to a mass flow pickup (1b) having a thin, disc-shaped pulse detector (25b) with through-flow apertures (40b) floating in a fluid in a working chamber. The pulse detector (25b) is suited in weight and flow properties to the characteristic of the fluid. Counterpoise components (77, 78) can be coupled to the pulse detector (25b). In addition, at least one induction coil (11b) and a magnetic region (45b) acting on said induction coil (11b) is allocated to the pulse detector (25b). Furthermore, there are sensors (17b, 18b) which record movements of the pulse detector (25b). Sensors to measure pressure and temperature may be fitted in the working chamber (46b). The pulse detector (25b) can be guided in the longitudinal direction of the working chamber (46b). It can, however, also be rotated with the suitable adaptation of the working chamber, its guide, the induction coil, the magnetic region and the sensors.
